until 40 more minutes here, yet the drunks are already loudly yelling and should be shooting off their fireworks (To go with their big mouths) before long.

I'm drinking a mimosa, a pot of black eyed peas are on the stove, the soon-to-be-released Shins CD is playing on the stereo and I woke up with a handsome hunk of a man in my bed. 2007 is gonna be a BLAST!!

The local Yokels in MY neighborhood dont mess with fireworks, they just shoot rifles up into the air, little realizing that what goes up must come DOWN. Please Gawd, let it come down on them.

Our neighborhood had both - fireworks AND semi-automatic handgun fire. But interestingly no sirens, despite all the harping by the police over the last month that both were illegal. I suppose that means no one was hurt, which is good.

I heard no fireworks last night, which made me very happy And though I had a lovely New Year's evening - I hope that today is not indication of the year to follow as I've already had a mental breakdown

I'm keeping positive though and I still think this'll be a good year!
