The local Yokels in MY neighborhood dont mess with fireworks, they just shoot rifles up into the air, little realizing that what goes up must come DOWN. Please Gawd, let it come down on them.

Our neighborhood had both - fireworks AND semi-automatic handgun fire. But interestingly no sirens, despite all the harping by the police over the last month that both were illegal. I suppose that means no one was hurt, which is good.

I heard no fireworks last night, which made me very happy :nod: And though I had a lovely New Year's evening - I hope that today is not indication of the year to follow as I've already had a mental breakdown :laugh:

I'm keeping positive though and I still think this'll be a good year!
