That sounds delicious! I love apple butter!

Have you guys ever had chestnut butter? That's good too.

Yes but I've only had it once. I guess it's not too common because I only found one recipe when I searched for it on google. http://www.epicurus.com/food/cookboo...egory=Desserts

i love peanut buttah. i don't eat jif or skippy anymore because of the hydrogenated oils and sugar and stuff nobody wants to hear me yammer about. i love trader joe's PB - just peanuts, baby! yummm. i usually have an apple & some pb every day for lunch.

I know...that's why I eat it so infrequently. It's by no means health food And sadly I don't like any of the natural peanut butters I've tried Hell I don't even like commercial brands, except Jif. It's odd.

The even crappier thing is now I've had two sandwiches with it - now the "Jif flavor" will be gone and it'll go to waste...

i wonder if the change in taste is the oils going bad? it's weird, i've never noticed a change in taste ... but then again i don't have a terrible picky palate. i'm definitely more sensitive to texture than taste.

I don't know - even the odor is different with Jif after a few days. It could just be that I'm super picky - I think I've only known one person who agrees on the Jif change...

Well I have a jar of new Jif and a very old jar of old Jif....so if you were in Colorado - we could do a taste/smell test...unfortunately that probably won't work....

Almond butter is okay... cashew butter is better. I love various kinds of nut butter.

this is one of the best threads ever!! what memories.

i got peanut butter and strawberry jam in my lunch every single day when i was a kid. my sister would only eat peanut butter and RASPBERRY jam (she was weird). i would only eat smooth; she would only eat crunchy (ick. hello? the extra nuts would tear up the bread).

i have never in my life had marshmallow fluff.

and i can't believe no one has mentioned the greatest PB pairing of all time: peanut butter and honey! you want for to die? it's the best!! put it on toasted dark russian bread, and you're in heaven.

finally, another combination that i discovered, too (and i have no idea what ever led me to do this...) peanut butter and... ready for it? kraft processed cheese slice. i kid you not. try it.
