It's good with mustard. I can't even imagine eating it with mayo! But yeah, I haven't eaten it in years.

Popcorn (I worked in movie concessions and had my fill of free popcorn)

Peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches

sugary kid cereals

hot dogs

liver and onions

Nothern bean soup (had a babysitter that made bean soup every single day she watched us)

Grapefruits (my uncles and aunts would send us grapefruit packages from Texas all the time as gifts)

I can't imagine getting sick of popcorn. So many ways it can be enjoyed. My friend just told me about this:

Air popped popcorn
Salt and pepper
Truffle oil

Shake and serve

Knock back with a bottle of Pinot Gris.

I just thought of something else. Sardines. I used to LOVE them as a kid, but I cannot get myself to eat them now! They look so gross!!

really, i can think of no good reason to ever eat anchovies!

there isn't really a food i can't eat because i ate too much of it as a kid. there are plenty of foods i don't eat anymore because they're just so bad for you:

- frozen fried chicken (pop it in the oven - presto - heart attack on a plate)

- frozen mini pizzas

- kraft dinner

- strawberry shortcake ice cream bars (ugh - had one about a year ago - it was BRUTAL - how did i eat those?? so sickly sweet)

- anything deep fried

- all fast food

- mmm... oreos (so good - but SO bad for you)

- doughnuts (ditto - times 10)

my diet is boringly healthy now - i'm a bit of a health freak - sometimes i long for the days when we ignorantly ate everything and didn't know how unhealthy it was...

You must not be a beer drinker! NOTHING goes better with beer and pizza than anchovies on the pizza. It's the perfect combination!!!

Gimme da stank!!!!!

It was pretty healthy but I grew to absolutely hate carrot-potatoes which was mashed carrot and potato together with gravy and all. I remember having to sit there for an hour until I ate at least half of it. I eat both seperate fine but that combination I hope to never see again, and yet I loved 'stompot' which is kale and mashed potato.

Every sunday my Mom would have the same thing; roast beef, turnips, broccoli and potatoes unmashed. I went through a long time of hating that but after being away a long time it's the thing I love to have again! I guess it says home to me. Well, except the turnips part. I've had way too many turnips in my life so far.

Mmmm, I love Blau Kraut if it's the pickled kind. And with spatzel and sauerbauten or bratwurst!!! Ich bin ein Berliner time then for sure, just keep the leather shorts and beer out of it thanks. Schnapps... peach schnapps, that would be good for dessert.

I'm sure someone is thinking carrot-potatoes with roast beef and turnips sounds great

Not me. Although I do love a good pot roast which is a whole other thing altogether.

Also, I've never heard of the carrot-potato concoction you speak of. Sounds wild. Must be a Canadian thing
