Well, yeah, I do, too. But five on stage is exactly what happens to sound better!

David, Amen! You hit the nail on the head. Perhaps it's a generation gap, but I don't go to concert expecting a polished note-for-note Vegas act.

In the Fleetwood Mac of old, I loved hearing how they would transform studio polished songs into raw, live honest rock and roll, with all its spontaneous rough edges.

I lament the fact that Fleetwood Mac, as a live act, is now so generic in sound and approach. Still, I can understand that, with age, old rockers would be inclined to add support players.

The Mirage video rocks! The Tango video is tepid!

no....i quite like the dance CD. I just don't like the way they set up the whole thing specifically for the dvd. I would have prefered that the concert came from part of the tour as the tour was better than the DVD.

Well, the irony in that statement is that without the CD/DVD there likely wouldn't have been a tour!

If you're only talking about the final video product. The actual live shows on the Tango tour kicked some major butt...the video doesn't come close to capturing that. That "Shakin' The Cage" tour is my favorite Fleetwood Mac tour of all the tours I've witnessed in person.

Exactly. I want to know WHO decided that they could no longer be a five piece band, that a freakin' orchestra was required. And that's what they are now, a Vegas act.

Shakin the Cage? is that some sort of pre-Buckingham Nicks tour? I dnt show any interest in the mac until 1975.

"Shakin' The Cage" was the official title of the 1987/88 tour in support of the Tango In The Night album. It just is kind of suspicious that Mick used that same title for a subsequent Zoo album, too.

I don't know what the freakin hell you are on about. Watch the Mirage video again and look to the right of the stage - sort of at an angel right of Mick. There are 2 extra guitar players, 4 backup singers and the guy who does backup drums.

Are you sure you watched the Mirage video? There are no extra players, besides Ray Lindsey who you see playing acoustic guitar on Go Your Own Way. There certainly isn't another drummer let alone four back-up singers?! Where would they hide them on that stage? Bizarre.

i liked the basic lighting system they used on Mirage... lots of blue... and those big flashing lights on the side.... not to mention the air blowing christine's hair while she sang

I have to admit, I really like this too for some odd reason. However, I think Chris's wardrobe (not to mention that garish make-up) needed A LOT of help. Chris is an attractive lady, why did she opt for such a frumpy look?

Stevie has clown make-up on too, I guess it's "performance" make-up but it looks ghastly to me. Lindsey's make-up isn't that great either I think Mick was even wearing some eye-liner. What was WITH the make-up on this tour?
