What is your greatest extravagance? Shoes, clothes, purses...All kinds of girl stuff. What do you dislike most about your appearance? That I'm getting older and it shows. Which living person do you most despise? The neocons and the religious right. I hate what they are doing to this country. What is your greatest regret? I try not to have any. What or who is the greatest love of your life? My daughter. When and where were you happiest? Right now. Which talent would you most like to have? I wish I would have learned to play piano. What is your current state of mind? Gratitude. If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be? I wouldn't have lost my parents so young, especially my father. What do you most value in your friends? A sense of humor. Who are your favorite writers? I don't have a favorite author per se, I'm mostly interested in non fiction. So I'm more interested in the subject. Who are your heroes in real life? Mrs. Sheehan, the Dalai Lama, Rosa Parks, ordinary people that I meet every day like the teachers, the firefighters, the nurses...people that are the backbone of our way of life here. What are your favorite names? Lily, James, Isabella How would you like to die? In my sleep, with the window open, listening to the ocean. What is your motto? One day at a time. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
I don't really know how to answer that. What is your greatest fear? My parents or husband dying; me dying a painful death (fire, drowning, asphyxiation) Which historical figure do you most identify with? None that I can think of. Which living person do you most admire? Probably my dad. He escaped from a communist country in the 60's & literally ran for the border with a friend. They walked through mountains & everything. If it weren't for him coming to the U.S., my life would be very different. What is your greatest extravagance? The 7 Stevie & Mac shows I've attended since 2003. Especially Vegas. What do you dislike most about your appearance? I'd say my weight, but actually it's my skin. The 15 pounds I can lose; the terrible complexion is here to stay. Which living person do you most despise? Dubya, hands down. What is your greatest regret? I honestly can't think of one. Well, I wish my grandparents would have lived longer (they all died by the time I was 10) but it's not really a regret if I had no control over it, I guess. What or who is the greatest love of your life? Curtis. OK, my husband. When and where were you happiest? My wedding day was really good. And I really, truly have to agree with Anita - I had so much damn fun in Vegas with you guys last May. I'll never forget it. Which talent would you most like to have? Anything artistic - I can't sing, write, draw, paint, nothing. I'd probably pick singing. What is your current state of mind? A bit blue lately. Close friend moving away, friend's baby boy dying....If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be? Less drinking If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be? A cat in my mother's house. What is your most treasured possession? My photographs. I have thousands. Irreplacable. What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Attempting suicide. What is the quality you most like in a man? Large penis What is the quality you most like in a woman? Independence What do you most value in your friends? I see myself within their eyes, and that's all I need to show me why... Who are your favorite writers? Alice Hoffman, Mary Higgins Clark, Richard Russo Who are your heroes in real life? My mom. What are your favorite names? Samantha, Lily, Genevieve; Matthew, Evan, Samuel How would you like to die? LIKE to die? Who likes to die? OK, in my sleep like my grandparents did. What is your motto? You haven't lived until you've touched a legwarmer. ![]() |
