It is mostly good natured, but it can get pretty entertaining when people get their knickers in a twist. They had already been said countless times, and by Stevie's own fans.

I maintain that the whole "don't anyone DARE say anything bad about Christine or I'll go off"/"I should be allowed to make fun of Stevie all I want, because her fans take her too seriously" thing is starting to reflect really poorly on you. And the "tizzies" you speak of, are really only people trying to help you see that.

It's ok, Home-slice... you never quite seem to get the gist of what I'm trying to tell you anyway (which has nothing to do with me not finding jokes about Stevie to be funny, because I actually do), so go back to having your "fun."

There was Pete9000, but he shows up only sporadically & doesn't say hello. All my old Stevie fan friends from the 1970s or '80s are either dead or hot air ballooning over the Napa Valley. And Les is the only one I can talk to about Lindsey, & she doesn't ledginate much any more ... & nobody ever says anything interesting to me about my beloved Christine ... & nobody has anything cool to say about Mick (I want to talk about his DRUMMING & nobody ever talks about his DRUMMING any more--the fans talk more about the damn backup musicians than they do about Mick's artistry & rhythmic clarity).

Nothing personal, but I've always been bummed about loving FM because I never found their fan base terribly enthralling, like the old David Bowie fans or the first generation of Kate Bush fans (the ones who preceded the Lillith Fair/Tori Amos crop--the ones who would have known in an instant the references to doddering George Meredith poems) or the old Pretenders fans.

But I'm used to all of it. Yes, it can be a tough way to go. Like when your host compares our president's legacy to Lincoln's. Damn that was tough for me to discuss intelligently without making it personal. I'm glad I did it but I still had to go off and cry about how willing people are to say it is okay that we've lost 2000 of our sons/daughters/husbands/wives/etc. At least I told them that I felt that no cause was worth that and we should think of all of those people as our sons, brothers, sisters, daughters, etc.

Sorry to be a downer, I'm sick and have been for over a week and its really old. I'm tired of feeling like sh*t.
