My site's working again, BTW. Just moving off of Marty's server. The Penguin and BN.net will no longer always be going down at the same time. lol

When I downloaded this song, it was presented as a Buckingham Nicks demo. I'm guessing... that was wrong? Does anyone know when it is from? Was it a White album demo?

By the way, Amber? This:

Yes, I don't know everything about everything Mac. Sorry I'm not such a Mac Gatherer, a Mac collector. You know why? B/C all I care about is the performances, the music.

And I don't feel the need to own anything Mac, I just want to hear and see the sublime performances, that is my passion. I don't have to own those performances, I don't have to have every detail of them - I just have to have seen them and loved them.

Life is ephemeral, and Mac is ephemeral, and once i've seen it, i'm happy - I don't have to own it or know every detail about it - all I have to know is that it was beautiful, and that I saw it, and that therefore it is in my memory and consciousness. So it will always be there.
Shame on anyone who looks down on anyone else because they don't know that this one performance was Stevie in 1983, in butt****wherever, Oakland, Largo, My Ass - wherever - the point is that I saw it and loved it, and appreciated it or not for it's musical/skill qualities. And shame on any "fact nazis" who try to tell anyone otherwise.
And don't get me wrong, I love facts. Love them. But I don't think they are necessarily the most important part of appreciating Stevie and the Mac. Fact gathering doesn't make you enjoy the performance any more. And if it does, then you aren't really enjoying the performance, you are just fact gathering.
Seriously, are you effing kidding me? Gosh, I hope so.
And Blue Water is such a beautiful song....*le sigh*
"I sit and I wait, fo the mohning to come, blue watah...and the sea, smiles fo me...and the sea...is as moving...as a lovah..."

... is one of the best posts I've ever read. It may have been written in anger, but man, the sentiment is sweet.

No, it's the B side of the "Gypsy" 45, released in 1982.

Don't insult me and then try to intimate that I am overreacting. That is so lame. And don't tell me to calm down when you have just point blank insulted me. It's gross. Why don't you just tell me if Cool Water is the same as Blue Water? And if it's not, then maybe educate me on what Cool Water really is. How bout that? Would that be so hard? Apparently insulting me is much easier. Good for you.

Or, shoot, if you want to keep laughing at me cause I don't know what Cool Water is, then maybe I can come up with something you don't know that I can laugh about - for instance - what should you do if your opposing attorney/client hasn't answered your Requests for Admission?
Omigod, you don't know!?!?!?!
You are sooo lame! I can't believe you don't know that! Omigod! Could you be any more stupid?
And don't say i get way too excited, when you are the one who freaked out because someone had the audacity to question the logic of your posts.
You have no credibility.
How funny, I was trying to give you the out of not being a total a-hole, but you didn't take it, and instead chose to be a total a-hole.
Sesly, that's funny.

Well, Homie, rock on witcho bad self, and find solace in your knowledge, because I now think you are a collossal asshole.
And by the way? If someone doesn't answer your Requests for Admissions, unlike other Discovery requests, in this case you file a motion to deem admitted. In all other discovery, you would file a motion to compel!
What? You didn't know that? Omigod! I can't believe that! For god's sake! It's the B side of law! I can't believe you didn't know!!!

And my point is, yes, you are an a-hole.
And yes, I am also a chatty cathy. Chatty Cathy and Mac Fan are not mutually exclusive personality traits. If it's possible for you to grasp that grey. You fricking moron. And I don't say that lightly. I always liked you or gave you the BOTD until right this moment. This moment when you scoffed b/c I didn't know cool water.
See, it's just as dumb for you to scoff b/c I didn't know that song as it is for me to scoff that you didn't know about Requests for Admission. See?

I don't really like getting in the middle of the drama. But for what it's worth: Amber, when I read that response to you not knowing the song "Cool Water," I didn't see it as a jab or being insulting. To me it seemed like an over-the-top joking response...like something you would say to a friend. It didn't seem mean-spirited. And for the record, Cool Water is indeed one of the most obscure songs...it's completely reasonable that it would fall through the cracks for even the most passionate of fans.

All I can say about the song...

LOVE John McVie's backing vocals!
