Interesting. I just read the girls were upset. I think, but not sure.. it was in Brunning's book, but I may be wrong. Now I know it was a wrong info. glad about that. In general, I think there are several points about FM history.. that we will never know the real reason (like the Stevie-Lindsey break up. To this day I've heard several theories..)

And yes, I don't think Mick would do something if it would cost the band.. but sometimes we do things unintentionally..

I don't think Stevie is exactly glad that Mick wrote this book. According to Mick (who told Graham Nash this on his TV show on A&E), Stevie threatened to sue him before the book was published if he went ahead with it (she was worried about how he was going to discuss their own relationship). And once the book was out, she always claimed she never read it (to this day, she claims this).

But Steve's right: Stevie didn't leave FM because of the book. Those of us who saw Mac on the final U.S. leg of the 1990 tour remember Stevie playfully introducing Mick as a best-selling author (the book was a big hit on the best-seller lists).

All in all, the other members of FM thought the book was a trashy, mercenary thing, & it even hurt some feelings (Lindsey's). But that's about it.

Default "the" Book

Mick's book is not on stores anymore, just in Amazon.. and you cand find just used issues.

I remeber I bought that book in Amsterdam, may 1992. I didn't know it even existed. To me it was wonderful since it was the day I flied to Peru, last vacation day, and it was like 15 hours with a long stop in Madrid. So the book was a gift from heaven. When I arrived to Lima I had read half the book.

I remember, to that day, I didn't know if Chris and John were brothers or marriage, so you can imagine my Macthology from that time. There were no internet and current magazines didn't have articles about Fleetwood Mac. No in 1992.

The book is my bible and it's still in my bedroom, the pages are old and yellow, and I never borrow it!!!!

Well, at least they were able to get past it and keep making music.
