Actually, no.

I quit my last job and I was making almost twice as much from that job than my current job. I decided that my personal happiness was much more important than the money. Besides, the job was stressing me out so much that I didn't have time to spend the extra money I was making.

Happiness is always more important than money.

Oh, I knew that about your job, just because you had told me before.
All things being equal, I think you'd probably go for the bigger paycheck.
Regardless, my point is that pretty much everyone is for sale. Especially entertainers, and most of the rest of us too, under the right circumstances.

Yes, indeed, why SHOULD a person live any better than another? Especially ten million times better than another? Or rather: ten million times better than ten million others?

Think about it: If we did spread all the wealth, besides everyone having just the one outfit and one room with a cot, we'd probably all have 20 more outfits in addition, as well as a small house with nice furniture and maybe even a car!

I'm for sale right this second. Tell your friends. I need a root canal, and my copay is heinous.

But she went ahead with playing a party for kids where her opening act was a puppet show?

To be fair, though, Stevie does a lot of benefits.

Yes, all things being equal I would take the money. Alas, situations like that rarely, if ever, have that kind of parity.

Unfortunately, being able to be a working musician with a liveable income is another rare thing. If I could, I would- but it didn't work out. I guess if everyone is for sale I would rather be considered a high class call girl than a whore. In other words, I'm a snob with discriminating tastes.....

No not at all, and that is not what I said. What I'm saying is that I would rather champion someone who, because of an unlevel playing field, is unfairly discriminated against rather than championing someone who OWNS the playing field and for whom descrimination doesn't even really apply, not in the practical sense anyway. Clear as mud?
