Says who? History is rewritten all the time, and artists and writers who were never popular during their own lifetimes are elevated by posterity to positions of fame and greatness.

Of course, this hasn't really happened in rock music yet, as the form is far too young. Most of its originators are still alive, and we don't have nearly enough historical distance to really begin this process.

Nah, but seriously...Polly is pure brilliance. I wish people wouldn't succumb to these, "so-and-so has years to go to reach so-and-so-other." It's true in a lot of ways when comparing older and newer acts, but in this case I can't agree. She is in her own league (not to mention, she has been doing this for awhile).

I think she evolves with each album...kind of like what they say Madoona does, only I actually like all her albums.
