I've never seen a Blue Mutation Parrotlet. Got a pic?

Not too far. His wings are trimmed. He floats to the ground in about 4 feet.
My house is almost all windows - hazardous for a bird.

That he is. He used to try and attack the Cockatoo. He is an aggressive little beast. But, rub his beak and he about passes out. My favorite thing he says ?

"Here kitty kitty kitty."

When was this? I haven't seen this...

I don't imagine it could be worse than that floral sundress she wore during...Street Angel, was it?

You should give it a try again - it's definitely not Entertainment Weeklyish at all anymore. I think you'd like what David Remnick has made it. Brilliant writing, excellent coverage and commentary on current affairs, great GREAT profiles, and consistently strong short stories.

I agree, it has been consistently good with David Remnick in charge. When Tina Brown was editor my mother would regularly call to complain that she would NOT be renewing, an admirable, if useless little gesture. I can never keep up with my New Yorkers, and often give them away, or freeze my membership. I have had a subscription continuously since I was 18 (40 now) but that is only because my mother gave me one when I moved to San Francisco, and she continues to give me a subscription every year - whether I want it or not!

The trick: you have to read it constantly!! I read it everyday, and only rarely do I finish it before the next issue arrives. I'm somewhat anal about it, so I read from start to finish - I never jump ahead. If I do finish it, I read a few pages of whatever novel I'm working on, but as soon as the next issue arrives, it's like Christmas all over again.
