Lord Child - some of the atrocious outfits I have seen around here have brought me to the point of tears

She was standing there with some other lady on the side of the street, talking to some guy who was riding a carriage.. She was literally 6 feet away from me... so i rolled down my window and in my most obnoxious voice, i said "Hi Martha!!"... she looked at me with this blank look on her face, obviously trying to avoid making it known to me that it was, in fact, her... so i said it again (i was still at the red light, so i had some time to kill), and she rolled her eyes..

Now, this is not the first time I have come face to face with a celebrity in New York City.. but this is the first time I have encountered one who seemed a bit on the unpleasant side.. I wasn't expecting a hello, or a wave, or a "hi, would you like an autograph?" (not that i would want one from her anyway), but a simple smirk or head nod would have been fine...

I guess what they say about her is true...
She's just evil I CANT STAND HER

Ok, well, it wasn't really that obnoxious.. I just said it loud so she could hear me and there was a smile in my voice.. get the visual?

It was actually a very pleasant "Hi Martha"!

this reminds me of the Barbra Streisand conversation a while back - everyone readily admitted she was a bitch and condemned her for it (not necessarily you)...interesting my dear
