I have my doubts we will see another FM album of all new material. I am not saying it is not going to happen, but I would would not be surprised if Say You Will was it.

Reasons:

Say You Will sold a million copies give or take in the US. Not a bad number, but not FM numbers. They may not see it as worth it. Particularly when they can tour and make millions new album or not. The album was not a windfall for Warners. The band did not reap much from it at all.

There is a strong possibility that Fleetwood Mac will Tour 50 dates or so next summer. Arenas and Ampis on their own and maybe a few Stadiums in a double bill with the Eagles. It has been discussed. The problem is each band's show approaches 3 hours. It means one would have to play most of their set in daylight. Neither one wants to. Anyway you probably will see FM on tour next summer. No new album of new material to promote. Does not mean they won't have anything to promote.....

I also don't see another Lindsey studio album. No support or enthusiasm to do one from the industry or public. Which means no forcing mechanism for Lindsey to actually finish one.

Stevie you will probably see another solo album, but it will not be before the summer of 2006. That means if they tour, the next time she may do another album would be 2007. She has no obligation to Warner's for another album and they are not exactly standing at her door wanting another one. So we will see....

Finally age. I not sure that band has the inner desire to spend a year making an album anymore. They may give it some lip service, they may actually do it.

I don't really mind what it's like -- as long as they do it before they're too old to do another world tour and COME BACK TO IRELAND, DAMMIT!! I missed them last time ...

But I loved Say You Will -- my favourite album, second to Tango. If there's another few songs of the callibre of Peacekeeper or Come I'll be very happy. Although I'd love to see another Lindsey album too. And Stevie! Hell, it's all good.

2007? That's not bad I guess ... is it a sure thing?

On a slightly more totally unrelated note ... can anyone tell me how to put pictures into a signature? *sheepish smile* This is why I'm still a Junior Ledgie!

So would I! I doubt that we will see a Mac album for a long time if ever again. I am starting to wonder about Lindsey's solo album, too but I am keeping the faith that we will see it at some point.

This sounds strange to me. I can understand that a major wouldn't beg him to finish his solo album (even if they should, to save us from some of the rubbish they usually produce) but wouldn't an independent label be interested?

My optimist side is still making me believe that we'll see another album from her (hopefully more) and another one from the band.

For the 40th anniversary, I think we might see a double album with past members (Christine McVie? Bob Welch? Peter Green? Jeremy Spencer? Billy Burnette? Rick Vito?) joining up with the current quartet and doing some new material...followed by a on off show with as many past members as who will agree to do it that will be taped/filmed for a live DVD/CD...AND, then a tour with as many of those past members as will agree to do it.

THEN....

....Fleetwood Mac fades into the sunset.
