Default I Couldn't Think of a Catchy Title....

Well....

Whatta month this has been. First, I graduated from college with honors. Then, I moved all my stuff and headed up to Morgantown. I turned the big 2-3. I got a computer virus that wiped me out. My couch didn't fit into my apartment. All those things were nothing compared to taking my licensure exam to become a Registered Nurse.

The day I got the notification that I was verified to sit for Boards, I called the company that runs the exam to set up an appointment. I wanted something before I started work on the 20th. The only date open was the 7th. Wayyy early. I took it anyway. I studied and studied for two weeks...just refreshing my memory on material I had years ago. I went in this past Tuesday feeling very nervous about the whole situation. I got checked in and sat down to take the exam. The exam can stop after 75 questions (it can go to 255 or something like that). Mine stopped at 75. Either I did really really good...or really really bad.

Well...I did really really good. I'm a RN now. I passed the boards. I'm finally a professional. I guess that means I have to start acting like one on here (yeah, right).

Thanks for all ya for calming my nerves. I would come on here and have a good laugh or two before hitting the books again. Funny threads and posts really eased my mind and made my studying more "enjoyable." I <3 this place. ...and Street Angel is still my favorite album.

Congratulations, Curtis, you should be very proud of yourself. I like you, so I'll overlook your fondness for that album that I won't mention.

I only told my parents. I didn't want anyone to know in case I failed.

Ah...a 75er, too, ay? Good Job!

Yay!! Your post was making me nervous until I got to the part where you passed the exam! Good luck with the career and the new apartment, I admire your career choice... it's something I know I could never do.

Oh, and I don't want to hear anything about the "big" 23!! When you get to the "Big" 3-0 then you can complain!

LOL! I did the same thing! When you tell people, they keep asking "Did you take them yet? Have you been studying?" every f*cking day. Then after you take them, they ask "Did you pass? When will you know?" "Huh/ Huh? Huh?" every f*cking day. You are a smart boy.

Way to go!!!! OMG, Curtis, that's amazing! You know what this means, eh? You? Are an adult.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Hahahahaha.

Well, now, I think this is cause for celebration. You start the 23rd, right? That means you're free on June 18th? I dunno, man. Stevie is holding a concert for my birthday in Detroit. I think it would be rude not to come along...

Congrats bro. That is awesome. I remember when I studied for my CLA to become a certified paralegal how stressed I was and then I took the LSAT...as Hedwig would say, "There's no need, there's none" lol

Again, congrats and best of luck in a profession I could never do, but TOTALLY respect.

if the exam stopped at the minimum 75 questions ya did very well...Deb had her NCLEX stop on the 75th question also and she figured she did well (She was planning on goin' to school to further he education in 2003 but her cancer bout kinda curtailed that...Oh, And she has been cancer free for exactly 1 year!!!!)

And congrats on becoming a RN!!!
