True, but in the past 15 years she's only put out two new solo albums, and two new albums with Fleetwood Mac. No es mucho. I WANT MORE!!!

i do too!

but don't worry, it's coming... i don't think Stevie is going to retire anytime soon or turn into the Vegas act that many think she'll become... i predict another solo album in 2006, followed by another tour.. and yet another FM album and tour after that...

The only mystery surrounding Stevie, in my opinion, is what she does between albums and tours. Granted, the last couple of years she's been busy, but there have been long gaps in her career.
There are many artists who put out more music (even if they don't always tour to support them) than Ms Nicks.

Personally, I would prefer her to do shorter tours, staying in a region for a longer period of time, playing smaller, more intimate venues, and get some of that catalog (enough to choke a horse, I think she once said) out to her fans.

Stevie has SO MUCH mystery it's not even funny but people spend so much time trying to dissect her personal life and lyrics they refuse to see this. There is so much we don't know about her. She has a life completely separate and out of the public eye that most of us will ever know about and for the most part we only speculate about her lyrics and personal life. No of us know her real truths and what she's really like and probably never will (although maybe one day she will put out that book she's been talking about which could possibly give us a bit of insight). We only go by what she chooses to share with us and what we read in the media but that is far from knowing the real Ms. Nicks.

Sometimes i think her fans are her harshest critics... Since 1996, she has performed the following songs that alot of people never would have thought she would have ever performed Live.. take a look:

*Enchanted (last performed in 1983)
*After The Glitter Fades
*If Anyone Falls (last performed in 1991)
*Sleeping Angel
*Rose Garden
*Twisted
*Sweet Girl
*Bombay Sapphires
*Leather And Lace (last performed in 1986)
*Too Far From Texas
*Sorcerer
*Gold And Braid (last performed in 1981)
*Fall From Grace
*It's Late
*Sara (last performed in 1986)
*Gypsy (last performed in 1986)
*Beautiful Child
*Running Through The Garden
*Destiny Rules
*How Still My Love (last performed in 1994)
*Goodbye Baby
*Beauty And The Beast (last performed in 1991)

ALL of the above are songs that either Stevie never performed live before, or were B-sides, or non-hits, or hadn't performed in years and years, or were not released as singles..
so when people complain that she always does the same songs over and over again, they should think about the 20 some odd songs i listed above...

Could she mix it up even more?? of course.. but she does try.. give her at least that..

Isn't that the case with EVERYBODY? We all have our mystery, our personal truths... not all of us play it out in public, and kudos to Stevie for keeping out of the tabloids (to an extent). I'd still like to know why she doesn't put out her music more frequently.

Well I am grateful that she is touring this summer and did Vegas because I feel that, since I am so young, I have to make up for lost times. Since I wasn't even born yet when a lot of you were going to her shows, I have missed out on a lot. So, I am so thankful she is touring a lot and doing a lot of her old material that I missed out on (Beautiful Child, Beauty and the Beast, Rhiannon, Sara, How Still My Love, Edge of Seventeen) and she is coming out with new material that I love (TISL is my favorite album ever!)

Also, I think this little solo tour this summer is just a stepping stone to get her back into the solo routine. I am sure that by the end of the year she will start working on a new album. I just hope that it doesn't take more then a year or so. I get the feeling that by late 2006 or early 2007 we will have a brand new solo album and tour. I just hope that she doesn't take her sweet time so she can get the music out ASAP. We are all dying here! But she really has put out like 25 brand new songs the last five years so it is not like she has done nothing lately.

When you think about it she's already put out way more music in this decade (which isn't even half way over) then she did in the entire 1970's which included three Fleetwood Mac albums and Buckingham Nicks. So, she is doing fine I think (although I also want a new album now!!!)

Well, she's put out 24 new songs in the past 4 years... technically, SYW was another solo album for her.. so, every two years isn't so bad... but let's hope she comes out with something in '06 to keep the flow going...

Exactly, she's put out more music this decade then in the 1970's (what most would consider her BIG decade), and this decade isn't even half way over with yet.

I'll take it even one step further...

Stevie Nicks has put out more music from 2001-2003 then she has in the entire decade of the 1970's and about the same amount in the entire decade of the 1990's!
