I would <3 to have the deadly "bootleg" question on the bonus footage.

Actually the bootleg question was included on the original broadcast assuming you are talking about the person that asked about "The forest of black roses"

They should put the full version of Dreams on it too IMO.
I was looking at the other Sotrytellers DVDs this morning and they all only have two extra songs. My bet is on the inclusion of Gold Dust Woman and Sleeping Angel.

It's only on the bootleg. Which I can't watch because it's such horrific quality.

You are correct. For some reason I had convinced myself it occurred during the actual broadcast.

On a side note: I hope this question, Sleeping Angel and Gold Dust woman are what's included on the DVD.

Can someone tell me what happened? With the forest of the black roses question? I, of course, do not have the bootleg.

from Amy Costello's review on the Nicksfix:

"There were some audience questions asked and one guy asked about the Tower and Forest of Black roses??, and whether they would ever be released, she went off on this guy, saying those tapes were taken from her house, dubbed and returned and she never knew it, and she despises bootleggers, he was like, I didnt do it , Im sorry, I just love the songs. She never did answer the question."

It is included on the storytellers uncut boot, but as others have said the quality is terrible. The best part about the uncut footage was Stevie playing piano and singing the first few lines of Sara. This was back when most of us were sure it was never going to be played again.

She definitly didn't "go off" on the guy. I think she was actually pretty nice about it.

Nothing Speical. I think GDW wasn't included because she didn't tell the story. She actually forgot. Plus the music was weak on it. I don't think Sleeping Angel made it because some of her vocals were a little off, just my opinion though. Ive been watching Stand Back non stop lately. Totally rocks!

Id definitly buy this!

She went off on the chic that asked the bathroom question. I felt so sorry for that poor girl.

????

Fan: Um, hi Stevie. I just want to say that I love you very much, first of all, and I uh, had heard that um, you write a lot of your music in your bathroom, is that true?

Stevie: I do, if it's a big wonderful bathroom. I don't write in little bitty crummy bathrooms. (smiles)

Fan: No, beautiful, your sanctuary is your bathroom, your sanctuary.

Stevie: So yeah I do, in Phoenix, 'cause I have a really large bathroom and it has incredible acoustics. So, and it has a view of the mountains. So, I kinda move everything in there and it's, it's a great way to write to be in an acoustically good place that's small, it works.

The lady asked her if she really does write some of her songs in her bathroom, and Stevie said, "I do... but only if it's a big, fabulous bathroom. I don't write in little, crummy bathrooms." She then went on to explain that it's a great place to write, because bathrooms have good acoustics.

Neither what she said, nor her tone of voice, sounded bitchy to me.

(Now, her response to Chris Connelly in 1997 when he asked her about how her drug addiction affected Fleetwood Mac... "It wasn't just my problem. I was not alone in that"... sounded bitchy. Though rightfully so!)

As for her going off about the bootlegged demos question, my friend Jeffrey was the one who asked Stevie that particular question, and he had this to say:
Quote:
I would like to respond to Amy's posting, though. I was the gentleman who asked Stevie about the demos, and she was NOT AT ALL upset with the question. I stated simply that, she has written great songs that few people have heard, such as FOREST OF THE BLACK ROSES, THE TOWER and JULIET { I meant to say JULIA, that great Wild Heart out-take, but most Stevie fans knew what I was talking about}--and she did tell the story of how they were stolen from her house, then put back, but that wouldn't prevent her from re-recording them in the future, if she wanted. While answering her question about the theft, I said "It wasn't me!", and along with the rest of the audience, Stevie laughed. Just speaking to her, getting to talk to her, making HER LAUGH!!! It was all very surreal--almost dream-like, like I was a living Salvatore Dali painting.

When I stood up to ask the question, I said to her "I'm not going to stand up here and tell you how much i worship you, because that is obvious, and I'm here!" Then, once she answered my question I said..."Okay, I'll say it...God, I LOVE YOU!", which got a round of applause. Stevie bowed her head with a thank you. So you see, there was no bad vibes in asking the question. It went well.

That description that was posted is a bit embellished. She never went off on anyone, she simply had a look on her face that said she wasn't too pleased about the bootlegs being out there.
