Stevie's Storytellers released on DVD
 

Two British websites are listing Stevie's Storytellers DVD for release on July 4.

I do hope it's true! I'll try to find out more. I'm guessing it's Warner Vision who is releasing it since they tend to do all the Storyteller releases here in the UK.

No listing on Amazon yet though and I couldn't find anything about a US release.

I hope it has extra footage *crosses fingers* the DVD releases often do, esp since Stevie's was pretty short to start with.

Cool beans! Yet another reason to buy an all-region player (I recommend everybody get an all-region player). See http://www.regionfreedvd.net/. They're as cheap as can be.

You can just go out to K-Mart and pick up an Apex for $25. They'll play anything, even those ridiculous Kodak Picture CDs.

I love Standback on the Stevie Storytellers episode. Maybe my favorite version, although Live in Boston is a close second.

Wouldn't you say the star of the show is the droll, dry, sardonic Benmont Tench on acoustic piano?

He steals scenes (or shots) by just smirking & playing some chords.

Sounds to me like the UK branch of Warner (if that's who it is) has decided to release the DVD and they will have little or nothing to do with the US branch.

That whole video is worth it for Stand Back. She does a great job. Maybe we will get extra footage on the dvd. Too bad all the people in the audience were complete stiffs.

Well, because Stevie is a US entertainer so naturally, the US should come before the UK.
