Who's bashing? I was merely pointing out the flaws I see in Sheryl Crow's approach sometimes. I know Sheryl's talented, she just gets on my nerves sometimes that's all.

I think Pip means that around the time TISL came out, people bashed Sheryl just because she was involved with Stevie and her music. They felt a lot of resentment towards her. Why, I'll never know, but it got pretty nasty sometimes.

Well just because she bugs you doesn't mean she has done Stevie any harm! And I still disagree with your opinion that she was riding Stevie's coattails!

Me, too, I don't care much for her, but to be honest, I'm very, very glad she worked with Stevie. I think it helped Stevie a lot...publicity wise.(and producing, apparently).
And I actually like Sheryl ok when she sings with Stevie, I think they both sound better that way. In that way that I'm glad Sheryl isn't singing one of her songs by herself, (yuck) and also the way that Stevie's voice sounds way, way, way, better with a good harmonist... I don't think she was riding Stevie's coattails. Stevie hardly had any coattails, it seems like Sheryl had more coattails as far as publicity and appealing to a younger audience.

To be honest with you I think their collaboration rubbed both of their backs! A lot of Sheryl only fans discovered Stevie and vice versa. And I certainly had no problem with Sheryl appearing with Stevie. No Stevie songs were dropped... we just got a few extra Sheryl ones and from what I remember Stevie was still on the stage with her.

I certainly thought it was fun to hear Sheryl tell Stevie to shake her ass during Everyday Is A Winding Road and it was even more fun to see Stevie do it. But that's just me. I loved when Sheryl joined her.

Well I travelled to Vegas with no clue that Sheryl would be joining Stevie for a gig. I was certainly a happy chappy when she did!

Yeah, I thought that was great as well. I really enjoyed it when she came out during the concert...and I thought it was neat that she did a couple of her own songs...it was like a little bonus break...

Were you at the October 6 show, Pip?! That's my favorite show from the whole tour.

No, unfortunately. I just have the bootleg and it kicks ass. She was her best at that show than she was throughout the whole tour, you lucked out big time!!! I was surprised at how smooth her voice was on most of the songs.

Hi Pip

Any more news on this possible Vegas show in May? I have a choice either NOTS New York or Vegas, cant do both so wondered if anyone had any more news?

I'd prefer to see a solo Stevie performance as I've never had the opportunity before, so will hang on a little if there ever is a chance she will do a solo tour again. HOpe so.

I totally agree. Mind you I'm biased cause they were the only shows I saw but a lot of people did say she was in good voice on those nights. I lucked out indeed.. especially cause I met her too!
