Don Henley/Stevie Nicks (Summer Tour)

Billboard Bits: Summer Tours, Nickelback, BNL
Billboard Magazine

Talk is starting to heat up about early summer tour packages for North America. Among the outings believed to be in the works are a Don Henley/Stevie Nicks bill, a Queensryche/Judas Priest pairing and a tour featuring Robert Plant and another high-profile artist. Another American Idols tour is also being plotted, and a North American tour by Queen and Paul Rodgers is also still a go, sources say.

Considering the success of their recent tours with the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, respectively, Henley and Nicks would seem to be a can't miss collaboration. Henley has joined Nicks on stage on several occasions during her solo tours for the duet "Leather and Lace," most recently at the last two shows of her 2001 Trouble in Shangri-La trek.

Holy ****! That would be amazing (even though Stevie would probably have to go first)!

Yes, Marissa had already posted this info in the Stevie Vegas thread. I guess we will have to see what happens.

This would be great - if it really happens. I <3 Henley tunes. Wish we'd find out something soon. About anything!

Ugh. I don't want her doing anything to distract her from her next recording project... whatever that might be.
Enough touring already, Stevie!

Really? I hardly ever like her albums as much as seeing her live... :)

WildInTheWind 03-04-2005 11:18 PM

I just want straight Stevie. No Don Henley (not really a fan of his solo stuff anyway), definatly no Sheryl Crowe. Tom Petty would be the only exception. I want a Stevie SOLO tour!!!!

Becky I can not agree with you more. the chance of Stevie doing some rare songs has just gone out the window, if this is true.

WildInTheWind 03-04-2005 11:24 PM

I doubt it is true. I just can't see Stevie sharing the stage with someone. She hasn't toured with anyone else in alooong time. What WH? Maybe RAL...I can't remember.

um...Sheryl played with her on TISL - in the concerts. So, she shared the stage then...

WildInTheWind 03-04-2005 11:32 PM

Right but she was just like a guest at some shows. I mean do a full fledged tour with another band/performer.

Well if she tours w/ Crow I will be pissed thats all I need to say! I would love to see a Nicks/Henly Tour! They could share a stage, duets, ect ect!
IT WOULD KICK ASS! This tour would probably see quite a bit of tickets. But it would be a bit more expensive though!

Mageboy25 03-05-2005 01:35 AM

Well at least shes touring. Alot better than in a few years when shes to old to tour at all.

I hope they take turns on who goes on 1st each night.
