C'mon, woudn't it be great to hear Stevie and Don sing The Highwayman? Or how about The Last Worthless Evening? They could make a great duet out of that.
It's not the end of the world. Last edited by gldstwmn; 03-08-2005 at 12:21 PM.. |

Maybe LB will make a guest appearance and they can do "Life in the Fast Lane."

I actually like Don & wouldn't mind seeing him. I could do without the more expensive tix, shorter individual sets, and higher competition for good seats, but I'd still go. If I disliked the idea that much there's always the alternative of staying home . Who knows if it'll even happen. |

Have you been to her site recently? It's been updated for her new album and they have three of the songs up for download. Goodbye Caroline is my favorite one. ![]()

I think "It's Only Love" is her best production on "Shangri-La"; the fuzz-jangle electric wending its way through the fabric is a toughening touch, & an obvious nod to Clapton. Quote:

The tipoff is that when you watch them play a show from 1981, the song sounds almost exactly the way it does on the album (barring the variations in ambience & mix that you'd expect from a stage & a soundboard). Iovine's "understanding" of Stevie is -- or was -- essentially nothing more than understanding that she & her band sounded good live, with clean, dry signals & a minimum of post-amp FX.
