You reminded me. I've become fluent in elementary and middleschool-ish. I deserve college credit for that (and a Purple Heart).

And as a kid I was always told to "outen the lights" or "red up my room." Then of course there's the interesting town names in that area: Intercourse, Paradise, and my personal favorite, Bird in Hand. It was funny, when I moved to Florida years ago, someone actually told me I had an "accent" that sounded like I was from PA Dutch country. Never even realized I had an "accent"!

Yeah, I know the Lancaster, Reading, and Kutztown areas somewhat. My favorite names are Virginville, Blue Balls, and Intercourse.

Blue Ball! That's the other one I was trying to think of! That's right, I forgot you were from this area. I'm in Reading a lot. I have to say I've never heard of Virginville!

I'm not in Reading much. I visited the outlets two years ago and wasn't impressed. But if I remember, it scored well in the new edition of Best Places To Live, so what do I know.

And sorry for adding an S to Blue Ball.

Wow, that surprises me about Reading. My brother-in-law is a homicide detective there, and crime is REALLY bad. Big-time heroin problem. An officer was just killed there last Friday. I haven't been to the outlets in years. I just go to visit family. Going to Lancaster, in fact, on Saturday for a wedding. I haven't been there for a while, so I'm not sure if there are still horse and buggies around as much. Then I'll be off to Hershey in the evening...gee, wonder what for?!?!

hehe...Everybody adds that S to Blue Ball! It's inevitable if you're prone to that kind of humor!

Keep Stevie away from anybody selling black dresses out of the buggies, please.

Portugues? Eu tambem. Falei portugues antes de Ingles.

Tambien hablo un poquito de espanol, pero mi castellano es diferente del espanol que los Americo-Latinos hablan.

Took some Latin too.

Deus lo volt!
Wow! Tu falas portuguĂŞs?! Tens familia portuguesa?

Somebody once sent me a postcard showing a photo of an Amish woman in front of a sign reading "I LOVE INTERCOURSE, P.A.!"

My speciality is English

I also speak some Spanish and French. I can greet in both languages.

Los Dioses de la Gramática deben tener un gran dolor de cabeza en este momento.

Español is my native language, I can speak a very bad English, too.
