I'm ashamed to say that I only speak English, though I know a handful of words in a few other languages (Italian, German, French & Spanish).

English, but I know a few words in Chinese and grew up in PA Dutch Country, so also know some of those colloquialisms! I tried to learn more Chinese, but it's a HARD language to learn, with all its different tones...

Puedo hablar un poquito español, pero no soy flúido. Sé bastantes para conseguir alrededor y también hablar con los gentes locales cuando somos (mi y mi famila) en vacación.

Wink Yo quiero Taco Bell?

LOL

I only know English and a few words/phrases in Spanish.

How about an anecdote?

My parents and I went to Juarez, Mexico one year, and we couldn't find this market, so we walked into the bank and my dad says to the teller (I was like 14 at the time), "My daughter can speak Spanish. Come here, Christy!" I was MORTIFIED. LOL Sure, I was taking Spanish in high school, but COME ON, they don't teach you jack squat in school! I was like "No, dad, I don't know what to say...uhhh...donde esta el mercado?" BWAH!! They found a manager who spoke English, thank God!!

My parents hate going down to Cancun without me, because I'm the only one in the family who can speak Spanish. Whenever I'm with them, they always make it a point to say "My son speaks Spanish!" and the waiter or whoever always tries to start up a conversation with me and naturally, I don't know what the heck he's talking about.

This year, my sister & my mom are going down there without me. I can't wait to find out how they managed without me

1 and a half. English of course although even that some around me may say is questionable and German. But I can't say I'm that great at German. If you dropped me in Germany. I would "maybe" be able to get around, but I'd have to tell those Germans, Speak VERY SLOWLY

English & a bit of Canadian, aye? It's like a requirement if you live near the border (no, not the Mexican border Jake)

Also know several words in Bulgarian (garbage, give me the paper {gee, Dad, thanks for those!}, i love you, good night, good morning, good afternoon, numers 1-10, etc.) Also a bunch of swear words, but I can only guess what the English translation is. Ooh, I can also say "go to hell" in Greek.
