Sirius XM Big 80s countdown. Top 40 June 26, 1982
#33 After The Glitter Fades #30 Hold Me Asia has the #1 album. Mirage just released and rockets to #12 on the charts Alan Hunter said that After The Glitter Fades was written for Dolly Parton in 1972 but Stevie could not get the song to her. Apparently she tried but never thought she got it. I never knew this but I googled it and it was true. Stevie was sort of a nobody in 1972 so I doubt it got to Dolly. Plus Dolly writes most of her own music. When Stevie worked with Dolly a few years ago why did she not offer it again to Dolly and instead gave her What Has Rock N Roll Ever Done For You.
