Default New Cd?

I hope Stevie releases a new cd and doesn’t just rely on these one offs. She has the money and at the end of the day the mp3 versions won’t be a part of her legacy. Release a new disc like every other artist does.

She could learn from the Fleetwood Mac releases. She started with a reissue but gave up. She could also do LIVE anthology albums of her tours. I for one would love a Best of Enchanted tour. Rhino would do it.

I think she's too embarrassed that a new album only sells 20k copies.

She's a numbers gal, living in a singles world.

It's too bad Christine is dead.

Has anybody noticed that it's been over 10 years since her latest album 24 Karat Gold Songs From The Vault?

Could The Lighthouse be the lead single off a new album?

Nope. (My bet).

I just don't think she has the attention span / stamina/ whatever for the weeks and months it takes for a whole album.

Interesting. The new music video has a million views but the song has not charted on Billboard Hot 100. We'll see if her Saturday Night Live performance gets it on that chart.

This is the longest wait in between Stevie albums...if another one comes.

I was one of the million views. Like I'm sure most everyone else, I was excited to see Stevie had a new single and with fingers crossed hoped finally, FINALLY the possibility of a solid song for my ears. This is the song that will show Stevie's still got ink in the inkwell to write a classic. Speaking for myself, I was again disappointed. It's not a bad song, it's just meh. In all honesty, I lost interest less than halfway through the song and have no desire to ever hear it again. Again, not because it's a bad song, it's just so forgettable.

Watching her on SNL did nothing to change my opinion, in fact it made it worse. While inspiring to see her at her age still going strong, the shouting of songs instead of singing (my opinion) is just cringe at this point, and I frankly don't want to remember one of my all-time favorite artist this way.

At this point, if she were to put out another album I would be hesitant to make the purchase, and I hope she doesn't. Her best course of action at this point is to solidify her legacy by focusing her energies on finishing up the remastering and creating expanded reissues of the rest of her albums, notably Rock A Little and TOSOTM. At the most, put out a 24 Karat Gold II album, but instead of redoing the songs remaster the actual demos. Some of those demos have great vocals from a voice at its pinnacle. It would be an absolute crime to those songs to replace them with a shot voice...no disrespect intended.

I was one of the million views too. I watch lot of new songs at YT. But I don't often buy new music in digital format or CD anymore (in fact I don't own a CD player anymore). I have to be a big fan to buy new material. Obviously my latest purchases were Fleetwood Mac.

And I suspect a lot of people do the same, so views aren't necessarily a good indicator.

Vinyl is running circles around CDs and digital these days. Everytime I go to the record store customers have a handful of vinyl. The industry is doing a great job on the packings and manufacturing, but vinyl is terribly expensive. I'm just glad the industry is still doing well. Entertainment will always be a priority for people, which explains the ridiculous price on concert tickets.

I’m old school for sure. I still have some vinyl which I play occasionally. I do have my music on electronic devices. However, I love my cd library. It’s like a book shelf of books. For me it’s thousands of cds. I have at least 7 cd players in my home.
