Interesting. The new music video has a million views but the song has not charted on Billboard Hot 100. We'll see if her Saturday Night Live performance gets it on that chart.
This is the longest wait in between Stevie albums...if another one comes.

I was one of the million views. Like I'm sure most everyone else, I was excited to see Stevie had a new single and with fingers crossed hoped finally, FINALLY the possibility of a solid song for my ears. This is the song that will show Stevie's still got ink in the inkwell to write a classic. Speaking for myself, I was again disappointed. It's not a bad song, it's just meh. In all honesty, I lost interest less than halfway through the song and have no desire to ever hear it again. Again, not because it's a bad song, it's just so forgettable.
Watching her on SNL did nothing to change my opinion, in fact it made it worse. While inspiring to see her at her age still going strong, the shouting of songs instead of singing (my opinion) is just cringe at this point, and I frankly don't want to remember one of my all-time favorite artist this way.
At this point, if she were to put out another album I would be hesitant to make the purchase, and I hope she doesn't. Her best course of action at this point is to solidify her legacy by focusing her energies on finishing up the remastering and creating expanded reissues of the rest of her albums, notably Rock A Little and TOSOTM. At the most, put out a 24 Karat Gold II album, but instead of redoing the songs remaster the actual demos. Some of those demos have great vocals from a voice at its pinnacle. It would be an absolute crime to those songs to replace them with a shot voice...no disrespect intended.
