RIP Prince

[Missy]

Stunned. We've been getting this news all the time for months but I never would have thought Prince. Only 57 and seemed in relatively good shape. When Michael Jackson died at 49 it was a shock but he had been living a self destructive lifestyle for years and had a lot of personal issues. I thought Prince was vegan and living a relatively quiet life. He was very private. Though he had not had major chart success lately I presume he was still very wealthy and could afford the best care for health issues.

*(I am now seeing conflicting estimates of his wealth. Who knows?)

He had the 'bad boy' image in the 1980s that inspired Michael Jackson into roughening up his image and sound. It was ironic how those roles reversed in time because Prince hardly even seemed to age. But yet another reminder of mortality even this day and age whoever you are. I've recently had a major personal loss and this time has been a real shakeup for me in general.
