Several times on stage during Wild Heart Stevie would say it was her favorite song to do live. On a good night How Still My Love exploded with Stevie intensity. The part that starts "STANDING IN THE DOORWAY........" On a good night Stevie would belt this part out and bring this song to heaven live. It was the highlight of the Wild Heart tour for me. Klonopin ruined this song live because Stevie had no intensity and went through the motions. The song is full of raw emotions of a love that went wrong and was full of temptation. "They say you're not the man for me" They crying guitar and the piano playing off of it gives me goose bumps

In 1981 Stevie said it was her favorite song:
Live 1981
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CheW...CCnh-QoFo9eUVw

Live in 1983
Check out her point and little kick during the "Standing in doorway!!!!"
But most important... check out her little dance at the end of the song. So vintage Stevie in 1983 and you will see why it was the highlight of the tour for me. This clip has her grab a hat from the audience and wear it for most of the song. Stevie would wear clothes people threw on stage. In Pittsburgh she put on a hooded sweatshirt someone threw on stage. It does not get any cooler than this!

Thank you for sharing this! I completely agree with what you said. I've always loved the lyrics and her voice gives me chills when she performs it love, before the Klonopin addiction, of course...

Those first 2 tours with Waddy on guitar, Roy on Piano, and Benmont Tench on keyboards takes the song to another level that it never achieved live again.

"Standing in the doorway, watching out to sea, calling out to me.. You GO YOUR WAY sounds like she is talking about Lindsey and a response to his song Go your own way.
Very powerful stuff

This is way too hard to narrow down, especially if we can use both solo and Mac songs so, I’m just going to go with solo songs. I’m also trying to represent each album.

Officially release songs only, no demos.

Think About It
How Still My Love
Stand Back
Violet and Blue
Sister Honey
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?
Long Way to Go
Ooh My Love
Desert Angel
Jane
Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind
Twisted (with Lindsey)
Planets of the Universe
For What It’s Worth
The Dealer

Its quite alright that there's more than fifteen tracks listed. It is Stevie were talking about, after all. You know, the more I think about it, only listing fifteen songs seems kind of criminal, doesn't it?

It's been ages since I thought about this and it's no easy feat mind you. It's like picking your favorite children as Stevie has said.
So in no particular order:

1. Crystal (PM version)
2. Storms
3. One More Big Time R&R Star
4. Beauty and the Beast
5. Stand Back
6. I Can't Wait
7. Seven Wonders
8. Rock a Little
9. Street Angel
10. Nightbird
11. TISL
12. Love Is
13. POTU
14, Bombay Sapphires
15. Bella Donna
16. How Still My Love
17. Sisters of the Moon
18. The Nightmare
19. Some Become Strangers
20. Sable on Blond
21. Rooms on Fire
22. Alice
23. I Will Run to You
24. Annabelle Lee
25. Silver Springs
26. That's Alright
27. Dreams
28. Gypsy
29. Desert Angel

That's the best I can do and I didn't even include the unreleased stuff. Now all I need is a private show of her playing all of these on the piano.
