When I first got the CD of Tusk I almost couldn't bear to listen to I Know I'm Not Wrong because I hated the changes so much. I have gotten used to it but I still prefer the sparseness of the original - thanks so much for posting it!

I, too, prefer the original mix of "I Know I'm Not Wrong", and looked forward to hearing it again (Why did I ever get rid of that turntable!?). Unfortunately the link above is no longer valid. Can anyone point me in the direction of an mp3 of the orgiinal mix?

I did a recording from a cassette to the voice recorder of my mp3 player of the original version. It's bad quality, at best. I don't know how to change it to a regular mp3, though. Strangely, I have another Tusk cassette that has the mix that is on the CD.

thanks so much for posting the original! Now I remember why I adore this song so much. I never did care too much for the CD version- not enough space in the song to feel it....

So I guess this means I'm going to have to either a) set up my turntable and listen to the album at home or b) buy one of those usb turntables so I can burn the song to a playlist

SO the vinyl version is the fuller one, correct? Just making sure I'm hearing this right! I love it!!

Thanks for posting!...and yes....The first version you put here is still my fave: more space and that delicate high vocal: so much emotion!
With the Tusk DeLuxe box set, we do now have 15 different versions (by Fleetwood Mac alone):

1 - original lp/vinyl mix (1979)
2 - first cd mix (ca. 1988)
3 - 2004 remastered version
4 - demo version #1 (2004)
5 - demo version #2 (2004)
6 - demo version #3 (2004)
7 - 2015 remastered version
8 - 'Alternate Tusk' version (2015)
9 - demo version #1 (2015)
10 - demo version #2 (2015)
11 - demo version #3 (2015)
12 - demo version #4 (2015)
13 - demo version #5 (2015)
14 - 24/96 stereo mix (2105)
15 - 5.1 surround mix (2015)

15 - 5.1 surround mix (2015)

Can you clarify something for me? Are numbers 3 and 7 (the 2004 and 2015 remasters) actually new mixes never heard before, or are both remasters of the original CD 1988 CD mix?

Also, is the new 2015 vinyl version the same as the 2015 CD version, or is one or both the same as the 1979 vinyl version?

On the sleeve of disc 1 it says '2015 Remaster', so I assumed that the songs have another mix than the 2004 remaster; I haven't listened too closely yet to draw any conclusions (the same goes for both DVD mixes).

There are no remixes of the 1988 CD mix (the one with the background vocals and some extra instruments on the right channel); I think all the new ones are remixes of the original 1979 vinyl version.

I haven't listened to (any of) the vinyl records yet.

I didn't compare, but I have the impression that the demo#1 versions of 2004 and 2015 are the same versions.

Maybe I understand what you mean, but because of the silly names all those demo's/roughs/outtakes have, I think you might be wrong.

On the 2004 version there are:

Disc 1, track 15: IKINW, a 2004 remaster of the 1979 vinyl version
Disc 2, track 5: Lindsey's song #1 (IKINW)
Disc 2, track 12: Song #1 (IKINW)
Disc 2, track 17: Song #1 (IKINW) (Alternate)

On the 2015 version there are:

Disc 1, track 15: IKINW, a 2015 (???) remaster of the 1979 vinyl version
Disc 2, track 12: IKINW (Demo - Lindsey's Song #1)
Disc 2, track 13-17: IKINW (5 different versions, WHICH I NAMED Demo versions #1 - #5)

Disc 2, track 5: Lindsey's song #1 (IKINW) from 2004 is the same as IKINW (Demo - Lindsey's Song #1) from 2015.

So, I didn't count those 2 'double'.
