Just how many countries count for it to be officially a world tour? Do tell. The standard for rock n roll acts since time began usually equate multiple countries and continents a world tour. It does not mean every country in the world was played

Haha. I had that shirt and I know it was marketed as a world tour. Nothing against Stevie, so no need get worked up. But it's just as silly to use the word "world" for two countries. It's really a marketing term.

The term "world tour" seems to be a bit of a misnomer for many musical acts. World tours by music acts usually compromise many countries (obviously not all).

Check out this world tour by The Police from the early 80's as an example:

Now that's a "wold" tour! Many big acts did this. That is my point to add to the discussion.
