Hello all---
I find it very interesting that Christine jumped back into the band and immediately handed over several piano and voice demos to Lindsey, with which he then took "massive liberties." They've both commented about how excited they are about writing, arranging, and recording those new songs. On the other hand, we have Stevie, who has made it clear that she resents Lindsey changing her songs. But I suspect this dramatic difference has more than a little to do with how Lindsey himself treats each of these ladies as collaborators. Clearly he views Christine as an equal. Does he view Stevie in the same light? Similarly, they also view him differently. Christine seems to realize that he is able to bring something new and unique forth from her songs. Maybe Christine is simply more confident in herself and can handle Lindsey's suggestions without taking them to heart, but Stevie can't help feeling that Lindsey is trying to change her creations.
