For "24 Karat Gold" we've already had 3 singles released with official covers ("Dealer", "Lady" and "Starshine") and the new album isn't even out yet. I'm assuming "singles are not promoted the way they used to be. Do we really need 3 singles being released at one time?

It's promotional singles to raise awareness of the album and juice sales. Lana Del Rey did it too: West Coast, Shades of Cool, Ultraviolence, and Brooklyn Baby all out before the Ultraviolence album.
