I've just listened to the clip a couple of times on my phone at lunch, but it sounds absolutely gorgeous. If You Were My Love is far & away my fav unreleased demo, and it sounds like they got it right.

There's no reason why a longer "preview" could not be posted at "Stevie Nicks Official"

Yes, promotion wise I don't think it's helpful. I mean, people don't actually expect them to sell records, but even if the snippets are used to simply create interest, I don't think they do. In fact, my feeling is that they could decrease or dull interest when you still have almost 2 months to go until the album release.

maybe it's just a labor of love, a gift to her fans? Ok even I have a little bit of hard time believing that, but maybe. Who knows.

A little preview tease is not going to have any affect on album sales either way; it's non-consequential. Stevie is not an unknown. I think the album, once released, will sell itself.

I actually agree with the comment that the single needs its time. It does. Put the single out there and leave things alone for a month. Maybe release the official video for The Dealer, to maintain excitement. As for the other songs, they can do more teases of those when they're two weeks ahead of the release -- or not at all.

It's crucial that "Camp Stevie" realize that the days of "Radio Promotion" are dead and gone...If they want to promote Stevie they will have to do better than a 15 second clip and a few tweets here and there...Yes they are dipping their toes in the social media waters but that just will not do...Time to jump in head first and get it over with after which they will see "Social Media" isn't all that bad...

It just absolutely irks me to no end when people b*tch and moan and b*tch and moan about the lack of updates (which is understandably frustrating) but then continue to b*tch, moan and complain whenever they are finally given the updates. Some people are just never happy about anything.

And yeah, to reiterate Louie's previous post, Instagram only lets people post 15 seconds worth of video. Let's be happy that we're getting SOMETHING people! Quit complaining! Enjoy the ride! They're posting snippits to get us excited, not to sell records! They'll post longer clips on sites like Amazon for that purpose!
