OMG!!! One from my wishlist! And it sounds sooooooooooooo much better than Mirage and Street Angel outtakes already. Even though it's only 10 seconds long, it seems like they are focusing on her vocal and harmonies rather than a big musical production. Smart!

P.S. LOVE that picture as well!

Agreed, her voice and the song, all 10 seconds worth, sounds really good!

yeah it seems like she's just keeping them close to the demos rather than trying to finish the more rocking arrangements that might have been done. Smart!

It really is a snippet. I hope we get an official video soon to boost interest. A 15 second clip isn't enough. Hopefully we'll get another one this week. Her vocal is great though.

What's the point of a 15 second clip??? Not going to sell many records with that...

Does it seem like this video may be just like the last one-- an ongoing scan of a single photo?

Although I'm almost impressed they did manage to include the Instagram link in the tweet...

It sounds beautiful. I love the guitar work.

And to those complaining it's only snippet, they can't release a bunch of singles at once. The first single (The Dealer) has been released and it needs it's time. We're lucky we're even getting snippets of anything else. Chill, people, and appreciate what we have.

Jamie

15 seconds is the max Instagram will let you upload.

I've just listened to the clip a couple of times on my phone at lunch, but it sounds absolutely gorgeous. If You Were My Love is far & away my fav unreleased demo, and it sounds like they got it right.

I agree, but should it take this long for The Dealer to be played on radio? It has been played once on UK radio which is terrible and I'm not sure about the US. I just want this album to be really successful and a single with an accompanying video and decent radio play is what's needed. Hopefully this will happen within the next 2 weeks or so.

well, but neither Stevie nor her team have any control over that. Radio is very corporate-controlled, playlists come from headquarters of these large chains of stations who then all play the same stuff and nothing else. So, frankly, I wouldn't hold my breath (at least in the US) that this will get much airplay because the DJs don't get any input into what they play. And the corporate types look at demographics and who "the kids" are listening to/buying. I think by now Stevie has resigned herself to this and is embracing social media finally because she's learned that that's the way to generate 'buzz' and get media coverage. But not radio airplay.
