Questionable legitimacy aside, I actually think this tracklisting looks great. If it ends up being the real deal I'll be pleased. Gold and Braid seems like a waste of a slot, but certainly won't be unpleasant and given that there are 15 other tracks I don't feel like I can complain too much. There's a couple in the mix that I'm unfamiliar with, but otherwise it's thumbs up all around on this end.

Keep in mind that this isn't going to be a selection of the best demos, but the best final studio tracks that modern-Stevie can create from old demos. Which simply isn't the same thing. People love the demo of Julia, but it's possible that Dave and co. simply didn't know how to make the song work to their satisfaction in this context.

The more I ruminate about this I'm thinking that this track list is so odd that it just might not be a hoax after all..If I were going to invent a phony one I would try to make it as spectacular as possible with songs like Julia and If You Were my Love which aren't on here.Some of the songs are great on this list with some really bewildering ones as well,Also Stevie did say she was going to do something with her Rhiannon songs at the beginning of the year when someone asked her what she was going to do with her time off so..

Every single demo that he has shared originated from the reels that were transferred to CD. The stories behind the songs usually originate from somewhere else. He has a very active imagination.

Not Priest of Nothing - it came from the RAL work tapes that were on eBay in 2011, which were cassettes.

Same batch. There were many cassettes that were transferred to CD as well. There are well over 100 CDs of music that were created from the reel sessions.

Yes, I am aware. But I believe you are mistaken about the RAL work tapes. They were listed on eBay in 2011, many here on the Ledge including myself bid on various items, and others pitched in cash to pay for them. Four items were won - one of them being the "Various SNL Demos" cassette that contained Priest of Nothing, You Like Me, Lady from the Mountain, etc... There was an I Can't Wait work tape, one labeled "Sharon's Tape" and another with mixes of Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You and Imperial Hotel.

Unless you are telling me that the whole 2011 eBay auction was a sham with several participants and that Mike had those tapes as far back as 2004 when the master reels first hit the scene.

Marcy's comment was to confirm that Reprise had "a" tracklisting but the songs leaked are not confirmed to be on there or not. So all they said was they had a tracklisting but it could have 16 different songs on them for all we know at this point

This has got me thnking about the tapes that Ledgies didn't get from those 2011 auctions - the work tapes that had She Loves Him Still, Tied Up In Promises, Jimmy Come Back, and so much more.

Excellent point! People, including myself, forget that Dave, Stevie, and Waddy are going to choose the best current studio versions of these songs. We're not getting the demos we love, necessarily. We're getting the best of Dave's and Stevie's contemporary interpretations of these songs, which may be very different from the original demos.

As for the track listing, who knows? It's so random, yet specific ("Rhiannon's song 1," "Rhiannon's song 2," etc.) that it could actually be legit….I look forward to confirmation.

Some points that make me think this track list could be correct .

The fact that "The Dealer" and "If you were my love" are not on it .
Seems like those could be Fleetwood Mac submissions .

The inclusion of the Rhiannon songs in a row .
I feel like this might be her last chance to get these songs out to us.

The names of the songs themselves seem " off "
But in an oddly believable way
Like : "Sanctuary my stronghold ". "the Black space needle "
It's as if a final song title hasn't been decided
Perhaps she will name Sanctuary , "stronghold "
"Space Needle" etc .
"Turnstile 69 " seems like a really strange title if you were trying to fool someone
And we know a song from 1969 is going to be on it .
Maybe it's a way to clarify to whatever executives might listen to it to say hey
This is the 1969 song ... These are the Rhiannon songs
Seems like a very Stevie way to go about things. .

I can't imagine the final track list will be so "wordy "
And cluttered ,

Also I couldn't help but notice so many "colors " being named :
Gold 2x. Black 2x Silver , Blue ..

It's a little peculiar that someone alleging to be close to Reprise Records is confirming anything at all to a fan board. Why would such a person risk losing his/her job and/or industry reputation, given how incensed Stevie can get about her unfinished work being released to the public before it's ready to be heard? I usually find such claims inherently suspect.

Hopefully we'll get an official response from Dave. He's the only one that I'd believe at this point.
