Makes you wonder how many more songs like Reconsider Me were completed before the departure of Jimmy, let alone how many other "finished" tracks are sitting around.
Good point! Reconsider Me came out of nowhere!

I HATED the finished version. It ended up sounded like something you'd hear on a tropical island in a restaurant shaped like a Tiki Hut. Her vocal on it was also lazy and uninspiring. I'm so glad it didn't end up on anything.

I think this is one of the "finished" songs that could be redone, and redone WELL!
That song has quite a history. It began as a Fleetwood Mac song. After that didn't fly, she worked on it as a solo song (for Street Angel?). I actually like the tropical island version, despite it having a bit of the dullness of her singing and the Street Angel production values.

Can anyone say for sure that this version, as is, was the finished version, fully prepped for release?

Stevie is not going to officially release raw working demos. What would be the reason? They are unfinished, and she is aware they are already in circulation. Only die hard fans would listen to subpar demo recordings, and we have them.
I do realize that there is a starting 'demo' of a song. I'm only saying that here and old fan magazine's(Stevie's fanzine's) in time's past others would label a Stevie Unreleased song a 'demo' some are finished songs, some are extended versions some are edited versions etc. But what really is a true 'demo' of what we have. If you 'really' think about it there are many songs in finished form on LP's that have never been leaked out per say. That was the comment I was making not saying there is no demo's or saying that she'd release them as such. Probably what we have are working versions of songs but not the first 'demo's of them. Only Stevie and company really know.

I can moderately tolerate Secret Love and the first few minutes of Annabel Lee before it becomes repetitive and annoying. I do like My Heart and wish it had replaced anything else on the record as it was a MUCH better track than what ended up on the finished product.

In Your Dreams is, IMO, Stevie's worst record. Her vocals are OK but the songwriting is absolutely atrocious to me. Some of her worst lyrics ever.

I'm glad Stevie is proud of it but that doesn't make it the least bit more appealing to me.

I recently noticed that Stevie registered "Blue Water" with the Copyright Office in 1997.

Does anyone know or have a guess as to why she did so? As far as I'm aware, this wasn't included among the tracks she demoed/recorded for TISL. Perhaps she originally had intended to include it in the Enchanted box set?

Type of Work: Music
Registration Number / Date: PAu002213938 / 1997-02-11
Title: Blue water.
Description: Sound cassette + lyrics sheets.
Notes: Words & music.
Copyright Claimant: Stephanie Nicks
Date of Creation: 1978
Names: Nicks, Stephanie

She might have considered using Blue Water for the Dance reunion album in addition to bringing Sweet Girl

Oh gawd, how can you say it's worse than the attrocious Other Side of the Mirror?

In Your Dreams?
Everybody Loves You?
Moonlight?
You May Be The One?

Really, you *loathe* these?

By the way, good to see you around. It's been a while!

Reconsider Me was written by Warren Zevon, so we won't hear any piano demos of it from Stevie. I've never heard any version other than the one she released, but there is a version done by Chrissie Hynde.

It has been a while! I'd say 6-8 years or longer since I've been around.

Now, I didn't say I Still Miss Someone was a masterpiece. To this day I can hear that song and expect to see 30 clowns start pouring out of the MP3 player.
