I wonder if we'll actually see that many on the album? Or if she'll reserve some for future Mac or solo albums?

With Dave Stewart being involved, I wouldn't be surprised if most or all of those tracks end up on the album. He seems to have yanked Stevie clearly out of her comfort zone, which is the best possible thing that could happen. She needs that sort of empowerment to just let her barriers down & dismiss her reservations. In the 70s & 80s she was fearless & just did what the hell she wanted to. It's good to see Dave helping her return to that form.

just dumb.
I agree.I rather see her promote it solo only.Just release in a year from now and do a summer tour.

Atlease it wont get screwed up like IYD release did while she was touring with Rod and got sick. She should be relaxing until the release in May .Thats my only gripe about that tour.

I AM OVERJOYED!!! I have been wanting her to do something like this with her vault songs for years!!! Agreed, I hope they can get it out in October!

Okay, now bring on the speculation as to which tracks she chose to record!

Thats a good question .I like a surprise like I receive on Christmas day but as we know it will leak out online or Dave will clue us in.

Wonderful news! And to think that not that long ago, we (well, some of 'we') were lamenting a possible country album! Cannot wait!

Also, she can promote it again after the first leg. She can make appearances, then and maybe do a few shows.

In time for holiday sales.

It's always possible they might save a few of them for bonus tracks on a deluxe edition. That always seems to be smart marketing.

I was going to be very surprised if they shelved this album for a year after having fast-tracked its recording, but it's still amazing to think that we might get it just six months after finding out she was even recording something new.

Even if Stevie doesn't say a word about it in interviews for the tour, it's likely that most articles will mention something along the lines of, "Stevie Nicks, who recently released her 8th solo album...." That's a lot of free publicity right there, without Stevie having to ruffle any feathers.

Plus, she did a few TV interviews to promote 'Soundstage Sessions' between dates on the Unleashed Tour, and those appearances also helped to promote the fact that Fleetwood Mac was out on tour. Which was win-win. So there's potential for the same scenario to play out this time around (there are a few points during October, when there are three & four-day breaks between tour-dates and Stevie could very easily book a couple of non-performing TV appearances).

Wouldn't it be fantastic if they decided to release a deluxe edition of the album that included a second disc with all of the original demos for the songs (nicely remastered of course!)? This is similar to what was done on Michael Jackson's latest posthumous release with a deluxe version.

Yes!! And I'm already getting my hopes high about liner notes/artwork.

That makes sense. Thanks for relieving my flabbergast-ness (if that's a word).
