I agree that the emotion on WISYA is compelling. The vocal... not her worst. But the lyrics! How many times can you say the same word over and over in a row?

And the dream says I want you
And the dream is gone
So she stays up nights on end
Well at least there is a dream left

WTF? Lazy. Drug-induced. Whichever. Bad. And yes, I *would* say that to Bob Dylan. Love her to death, but Lindsey's playing and vocal at the end salvage this. Good idea but it took a wrong turn somewhere and never found its way back.

Featuring 11 kitschy tracks that fans hate to love, this unique compilation speaks to the deepest guilty pleasure. The cd includes Thom Panunzio's brand new remix of the Nicks classic "Jane". Available on ITUNES and in stores on January 28, 2014.
WISYA, Somebody Stand By Me, and possible Jane are my only disagreements with this list. I would put Rooms on Fire, Bella Donna, and Enchanted there instead.

It's all right baby, she is Doing the Best that she Can…. another example of redundancy. Yuck!

Street Angel? I could never put that on a 'worst of' CD, or Love Is Like A River, but the rest are obvious choices, even though I do rather like When I See You Again. I'd probably replace those three tracks with Soldier's Angel, Ghosts Are Gone and I Still Miss Someone.

How can anyone forget her horrible version of I Still Miss Someone? That may be her poorest performance ever. GROSS!

Oh, I disagree!

I think the vocal is a bit overdone but I think that's a really moving song about some of the rough stuff she went through.
The line "In my way/disaster was the only thing/that I could depend on" is just amazing.

I love all of Stevie's rehab songs on Tango. I think all three of them connect to Betty Ford in some way. And I do firmly believe she is singing "Sara" (referring to her rehab check-in name), not "Tara" or "Aira" during the musical breaks of "Seven Wonders."

I would buy this collection!

I think the only one that doesn't really belong is "Freedom." You can blame that one on Oscar Wilde.

"When I See You Again" makes me tear up a little, but I do agree that it's undercooked. The vocal is sometimes okay, but it other times it doesn't compensate for the lyrics well (the infamous "wassamatterbaby"). I couldn't ever really get behind "stare at the stairs" either though I see what she was going for. But there are some really heartbreaking aspects to the song, always for me that line about there being at least one dream left, it just gets me in the old ticker.

I think the appeal of the song for me is a little too meta to chalk it up to the song's inherent merit, but I still listen to it. Even though "Seven Wonders" is more polished, WISYA and "Welcome to the Room Sara" are deeper songs (even though I don't like the latter much at all).

Man, I wish there could be some equal time on this board and I could see a thread where someone else's songs could be ripped apart and exposed for the emotionless, light and trite songs they are. Not mentioning any names here, but I'm sure she'd be over her head everywhere when daddy says he loves her. You want to talk about repetition? Write down the words to "Little Lies" and then just look at the paper. Can't say that, though, because she's beyond human and does no wrong. She's so Perfect.

Regardless of any production considerations, at least Stevie's songs (and Lindsey's), the songs themselves, not the production, convey honest emotion and have something to say and contain so many levels.

Woohoo for chimpanzees!!!!!!

I would like it if it were actually a cover of the original; but...I find Stevie's lyrical arrangement lacking. With that polka-esqe carnival merry-go-round instrumentation, though, it was dead on arrival.
