I think, for me (as one who expressed disappointment) it's just so *different*. I mean, to be honest, it sounds much like I expected. The saddest part of this is that my expectations were met - I was hoping for some surprise. I should know better.

I think that Fleetwood Mac, and to a greater extent Stevie since she tours more often, should maybe try changing up some of these songs, along the lines of the accoustic Gypsy from the AHI benefit all those years ago. I'd love her to sing them softer, forcing us to strain to hear every word, but instead it seems that Stevie frequently yells her songs instead of singing them. I'm very well aware of her vocal limitations, but many of them disappear when she sings less...loudly. She can sing Landslide & Goodbye Baby softly, why not Sisters of the Moon? Just a rhetorical question, really.

I will say although I'm glad theyre representing their last album with Say Goodbye, i'm so pissed its in the set. Crystal would've been the perfect song to end the set. It's John's favorite song, why the hell won't the throw him a bone JOHN SPEAK UP AT REHEARSALS dont let them walk all over you. you know hes sitting there in the circle going "eh ill just play whatever the f*ck you guys want me to"

And after hearing Without You, I would've much prefered the just played Soldiers Angel in that spot.

Say Goodbye is a great song.

In typical Stevie style, Sisters is gonna evolve slowly over tour until she gets more comfortable with it. I mean, she hasn't performed it in like 30ish years so it's obviously gonna be a bit rough, especially considering how high it used to be but hey! Look on the bright side, our girl attempted it and that's something we can very rarely say these days when it comes to setlists.

It's true. SA sings Live. One of the most unaccoutable transformations I can think of in all of music. And I love the studio version, but the live version is ... a force of nature (with or without Lindsey).

Well said.... My main fears, when it was mentioned as being in the setlist, was 1. PLEASE don't let Lindsey make into a "pop song" 2. Can it be done right without the "craziness" & 3. Can she maintain the energy level to do it through a long tour? You are right on ...as with Storms.... it will evolve. I just hope it is given the chance to .....

Everyone has posted quite a few thoughts regarding the Columbus show, so I will keep this relatively short.

First off, I do believe they were crickets. I could of sworn there were crickets briefly before the band took the stage. It may have been easy to miss or I'm way off base and there were indeed no crickets. Anyone else hear them?

They had me fooled with SHN as the opener. For some reason as Lindsey was counting it off I thought they were doing Monday Morning again. Just as I was ready to stomp my foot with a little frustration, indeed it was SHN! I liked it.

The interaction between Stevie and John was priceless. They kept bowing in front of each other as they exited the stage at the stairs. Towards the end of the show when everyone was getting ready to leave for one of the encores, Stevie grabbed John and motioned for him thinking it was time for the final bow, however it was not. John walked towards Stevie with a confused look on his face when she realized they were all suppose to walk off. Big laughs from both of them. They were whispering to each other quite a bit between songs throughout the entire night.

I agree that Sara was really nice last night. In general, I thought Stevie sounded really good. Some nights you get the Stevie without any vocal elasticity which results in the shouting effect, last night her pipes were smooth and supple. Wow don't I feel dirty...hahaha

Without You - awesome, really nice. If I had any criticism, it would be that the song could use some sort of guitar work to bridge to the chorus. They followed pretty closely to the demo. At times I thought it was a little repetitive and could of used something to help break it up. Don't get me wrong, it was VERY COOL. So glad they did it!!

Gypsy was done on Micks smaller kit they rolled out for Sad Angel. This was a great idea, I think they finally got just the right live drum sound for this song. I always thought Mick's big kit just didn't sound right for Gypsy. It would of been nice to have the complete acoustic version - but they kind of met in the middle. One of the more enjoyable arrangements of this song they have done in a while.

Sad Angel - blown away. totally better than anything I could of ever expected. So fresh, so new. Great guitar work and harmonies. I agree with Lindsey, one of the most Fleetwood Mac sounding tunes they have had in YEARS.

ISA - Never been a huge fan of the album track itself, but I love witnessing the guitar solo. The panels above the stage lower, and come right down on top of Mick's kit and the entire crew. The panels changed to a bright red color, It made me think they were under a broiler. Very cool effect. Lindsey did a lot of soloing in front of the folks on stage left and right.

SOTM - Awesome. I think this track is only going to get better. The same thing happened with Beautiful Child and Storms. Once Stevie gets more comfortable with the song, I think it will begin to really mesh. Really nice overall, so glad they dusted this off.

Eyes of the World - so glad they put this back into the set. I thought it was fantastic in '03-'04 and it still is today. That track has aged very well.

Say Goodbye - I was really pulling for Crystal and I was a little sad to not see it as the final encore (or at all!!) I was surprised that a SYW era track came back into the set. Hard to believe that song is 10 years old.

I noticed that it looked as if hardly anyone left before or during the encore. Usually there is quite and exodus at the start of the encore. It looked as if 90% of the place stayed until the very last number. I kind of got the feeling they really had the crowd in the palm of their hand.

They had some beautiful merchandise in the late 70's - if they are not willing to give us anything new which is really good, they could have at least printed some of those old designs again. But instead they are giving us the same old penguin outfit again and again...


Those new band t-shirts are really no positive eye-catcher at all.

I had tears in my eyes when they performed this in England in 2003, it's so heartfelt and beautiful. I didn't think it would be in the set but am so pleased it is.

I am not surprised the setlist is essentially the same old stale collection of songs, with a couple of minor differences thrown in. This band has proven time and again it has not an inch of spontaneity anymore and never misses a chance to disappoint fans. It is for these very reasons that the last time I saw FM was in 2004, and probably will turn out to be the last time ever.

At least Lindsey makes his shows interesting by playing a lot of new music, even though the One Man Show tour didn't appeal to me.
