Stevie:
“ I completely beat Mick up about that, because he was not thinking when he did that article.

We knew and He knew exactly what he was doing. And it clearly worked in his and our favor.

The problem is that it's only been about a dozen songs out of three dozen. On his first three solo albums combined, I think there's only three songs that I didn't like. And even those aren't songs that I hate, or won't listen to.

I keep buying his albums though, hoping his new stuff will connect with me to the degree his previous material did. But it just hasn't happened.

I have no worries there whatsoever. Between 'Trouble In Shangri-La,' 'Say You Will' and 'In Your Dreams,' Stevie's only written one song that I don't care for ("Silver Girl").

IMHO, they should thank her for the delay.
You definitely need a break. That was a problem in SYW where they were returning to the same places they'd been just the year before. They oversaturated the market.

It's not the break I was questioning. It's Stevie acting like there is a 3 year rule. There is not. It just happened to be three years this time, so she acts like that's been her game plan ever since they went out on the road in 1975. If you listened to her she'd tell you that. That she told them back then to only tour every 3 years, but no one listened to her.

We actually got interviews in the middle of the SYW tour where they seemed to be getting along fine, better than they had just after the album was recorded. One interview ended that way with Stevie pointedly asking Lindsey if they weren't getting along marvelously. Several months in, the SYW tour seemed more amicable than when it started. Then, something seemed to happen at the end of it, based on the post-tour comments.

I think he generally sounds more sane than her -- not that he's sane, but in comparison . . .

But she was great when she was imitating his Tusk songs and how he'd just go and make funny noises when he was laying down his tracks and then he would even re-record them and they would sound just as zany and they'd raise their eyebrows and say to him, "er, that's great Lindsey." She sounded wise in retelling that and her version of Lindsey sounded both accurate and loony.

They're very good at seeing the absurdity in the other. Oh, same thing with Mick when he was mimicking Lindsey in Destiny Rules and pointed out that Lindsey could say all those things because he knows that he'll never have to live in a 3 room apartment. I bet they could all give us sober, honest, humorous and dead on critiques of each other.

I think so too. I wonder if they are deliberately not saying the song. Stevie knows that the fans know her bootlegs. She knows we knew Secret Love already. So, I have to wonder if she's not saying this one, for a reason. Heavens, we have to hear those lame Sad Angel and Miss Fantasy titles repeatedly, meanwhile, the title of the BN song would really be news.

Interesting.
I know. That was a new comment. Lindsey can say what she says about Crystal that he just really thought she sounded better singing them

I didn't know what this meant:

I mean, some words are missing, due to editing, but what are they? The songs aren't about you, but they are you? Are part of you?

Well for Unleashed there was the press junket where the two of them sat together and answered questions. (I remember Stevie had this great kinky hairstyle that many of us hoped she would keep for the tour.) I wish they would do something like that again. It would be much easier for them to be in sync and on the same page with things if they actually had conversations together, rather than relying on a third party to tell each one what the other said.

Yeah, that's worded really strangely. I kind of took it to mean that he really tried to make the songs in her 'style,' like something she would have written herself.

My "worry" is that she won't ship work over to FM. But I don't really worry, because if It's IYD-quality, I don't want an FM album at all....

i don't know about his sanity, but from all the interactions he's a very intelligent person, who seems to have unexpectedly kept a lot of his brain function intact after all those years of frying it with excessive drug consumption.

and if he is insane, he hides it well in regular everyday contacts.

Anyone else tired of hearing about Buckingham Nicks on cd? I've been hoping they would do that for someting like 20 years I think!! C'mon people....clean up the tracks, burn the cd...release it. Lindsey- your 14 year old could probably do that for you on the home computer.

Unfortunately it's a little more complicated than that. And that's the hold up - missing masters & Keith Olsen wanting a decent piece of a pie AND a trip to Hawaii - what is this "The Price is Right"?? Lol.

Although I do think they must have all that worked out by now.

someone needs new management(our managers, who are very creative) and I'm sure she meant again... I’m never going to be the one to break up this band.

I wasn't talking about the need for a clinical institution.
