Stevie And Sheryl Crow Question...

[CADreaming]

This is the problem I have with the comparisons - there is 30 years between them and comparing a demo/live track with a studio version is apples and oranges. Same thing with the Smile At You demo vs. SYW Smile At You that everyone complains about. The way people (and technology) interpret things change with 30 years perspective.

Anyway, I like both versions of Sorcerer, but prefer the BN versions (surprise! ). I like the banjo and Stevie's tambourine on the BN demo and I like the way Lindsey mocked that sound on the electric guitar, the rocking-edgy sound they had and the Django lead in and their ending trading off on "who found/won't you tell me lady from the mountain". I especially like the end of it in one live show where they harmonize the screaming of "Moun-tai - ain!"

But, I do think Sheryl did a great job with it and I like her harmonies fine.
