When I saw Stevie on the TISL tour, I was the ONLY person standing in our area and the drunken idiots behind me were yelling "take it off or sit down!" It was my first Stevie show and I was NOT going to sit down dammit!

last (May 2007) the drunken fans at the OKC show kind of ruined that experience for me...
but on the positive side there was only 2-3 people in the non-alcoholic beverage line at the concession stand (As opposed to the 100+ people in line for alcohol) so service was fast and quick. Was molested by a drunken good-looking lady the June 2004 Dallas show for FM, too bad I was not single at that time, lol!

I don't see a problem with people having a few drinks to loosen up and have a good time. But when you start becoming a nuisance and affecting others experiences at the show then I think it's time to put the bottle down and have a seat. After all, the PRIORITY should be the music - not the drunkenness. You can go get drunk anywhere.
I don't drink at all, but even if I did, I personally don't think I would drink at shows just because I would prefer my memories of the shows be as crystal clear as possible. But that's just me - and like I said, I don't drink and never have, so I have no first hand experience to base this off of.

Ha-ha!! No, but I should have. Stupid jerks. I refused to sit down. I know that pisses people off, and today, after seeing Stevie and The Mac multiple times, I would probably sit down, but back then in my 20's at my first EVER Stevie Nicks concert? No way Jose!

My brother and I went to the 2006 NYC Tom Petty show and we had a terrible experience. We came from Ottawa Ontario Canada so we were looking forward to seeing this show. We were sitting in the back of the floor about two rows past the dividing gate separating the front and back sections of the floor.
For starters we had a couple of young kids next us barely 18. They got drunk on these $6.50 champagne shots that had a strawberry floating on the top. When they first sat down they were raving about the good seats and also how much of a fan they were of Tom Petty. They never watched the show but played tonsil hockey all night and grab ass and every other lewd act you could think of. Then in front of us a group of people came to the show together all drunk and high on booze and pot. They proceeded to pass the pot around all night so I got to watch allot of the show through pot smoke. One of them was so fat and drunk that he kept falling forwards and backwards while yelling Woo all night before finally passing out for a while and then towards the end of the show he was back to life and doing the same yelling and falling back or forward that he did earlier. It got so bad that a big muscular guy in the row in front of this group turned to one of them and said tell your friend to sit down or I will beat the **** out of him. There was a mother and son next to us who walked out. We had an usher right there who did nothing. Why would you want to get so drunk that you don't even enjoy or even remember the show? You just ruin for everyone else. Why they let them in knowing they drunk is beyond me. Matt Matt |

I just remember at one of Stevie's past shows .maybe the 2010 tour .This idiot drunk or high kid sat next to me.Before the show he kept on talking loud not making since.Thats all I need is some idiot chatterbox drunk next to me and ruin a Stevie concert. Before Stevie came onstage I just blowup at him to tell him to shut the F&%$&*Up and said you are drunk.Seconds later he got up and disappeared for the rest of the night and never came back Thank goodness he did.

I don't know whether any other Ledgies attended the second SYW show in Manchester UK in 2003? It was a big audience, around 21,000 if I'm not mistaken (and they'd filled the arena the night before too).
There was a massive fight between two young lads near the front (drunk as hell) just as Tusk started. Lindsey tried to play on but in the end he shouted "Hey you guys, you're freaking me out!" Stevie looked as though she was about to throttle them with her tamborine and said something like "Nobody fights at our shows, get out" - it was quite an experience! |

I can't recall the exact words now, I think I heard Stevie gave them 'the finger' but I was on Lindsey's side. |
