Lindsey in Ithaca

[JamieK]

SO thoroughly enjoyed my first solo Lindsey show in Ithaca last night! It just keeps getting more and more important to pay homage to the great ones. The Goddess of Music Appreciation touched me -- earlier in the day I was offered an upgrade and had no idea it would be a meet and greet, front row, up close and personal ! Oh and what could I bring him? Got into my pile of storage boxes and dug out the only remaining vinyl that I own - of course their 1973 B&N work ... got the gold pen and packed it up to take to the show! Found a gratitude card I could leave him with because he just needs to know from one more fan how he heals with that music and shines in the brilliance! And I pleaded that he keeps bringin it to us peeps! We out here need him over there doin that!!

The show was beyond expectations. Some lyrics I hadn't gotten before hit me so hard I was in tears. And of course he picked up a new guitar for each song. Master of the picking that he is, he just mesmerized me -- so thoroughly taken to that place by I'm So Afraid, my favorite emotional song he does. What an intimate setting. Such an f in genious!!

Here's some pics of meeting him. He seemed genuinely grateful to be acknowledged for the impact of his poetry and music, "That's what the music is for!" I asked about a S&L set of shows. He confirmed they've been talking about it but she's doing her stuff right now too. I assured him we would be there! OMG he was so sweet, gentle and humble...really. And, he was still a little sweaty for that hug I will never forget....Hope you enjoy the show too if you can go
