I got a question. Was Jimmy and Stevie clips live tonight or they were recorded days ago.

The Stevie and Jimmy clips were filmed last week, right after they mentored the contestants, basically summing up what they saw.

The joke is on me. I recorded the show on the VCR. I just sat down to watch it and the whole thing is just snow. It didn't record.

That was terrific! Stevie is the best mentor American Idol ever had. I loved the bit between her and Iovine when she said Phillip was so cute that he reminded her of Lindsey and Jimmy pouts, "Why didn't you say he reminded you of me?" lol!

Stevie did a wonderful job tonight, loved her interaction with Jimmy Her advice on song structures and vibe to the contestants I think is the best I've seen them get. Her human touch with them was particularly wonderful. I've rarely seen anyone age as well, she looks not much over 40. What an amazing gal. Reminds me why I've loved her so much since I was 10 years old.

Thought so...hoped they talked about him producing her next album.

What I loved is that Jimmy acknowledged that Lindsey was gorgeous himself. Stevie told the guy he was gorgeous and Jimmy was like, "We got that already, when you said he looked like Lindsey in 1974." So, that tells me Jimmy thinks Lindsey was gorgeous in 1974 .

All fandom aside I have to concur that she is the best mentor I have seem on AI .Her training as a teacher down at San Jose State still shows.

At the end of the show when the judges were commenting on how great the performances were tonight .Randy stated 'there's something in the air tonight 'I believe that something is called the magic of Stevie Nicks.

I love Stevie. Once again she reminded me why I have enjoyed and respected her for decades

based on judge's feedback, crowd response, and online posts..... STEVIE should be a permanent mentor! i usually find most performances a bit sub-par. tonight , they were ALL on fire! obviously , our GAL knows how to motivate!
