I always interpreted him not directing Lindsey at all because Linds looked like he was in a foul and uncooperative mood and seemed unamused by the entire shoot, whereas everyone else seemed a tad more playful. Even John. Perhaps the director was simply scared to push the wrong button with Lindsey...

To be honest, during that era he could have easily been high during the whole thing lol.
I think I saw it. He came in wearing a hoodie and Christine told him he looked like a mugger. The funny thing about that is, since he was late and dressed like that, I initially thought that he was not into doing the promo and was just there to brood. But he was actually all into it, pulling off his hood and ready to do take after take and his mood was actually light, which was not what I expected from his appearance.

As for being high, I'm sure he always was. Michele

But when he was doing something, he was pretty jocular. When the photographer wanted Christine's limp hair to have body, Lindsey (and Stevie) kept trying to puff it up for Christine. And when Christine had her arm around him, I think he said he thought it was Mick and he said, "Dude's got long arms."

Of course, he was seemingly oblivious to what Stevie was doing with Mick and John. The photographer told her to work those men and she squealed and Lindsey was like totally not reacting. Then, when John carried her off he didn't react to that either. When John and Stevie were playing Christine said, "that should be me." Lindsey said not a word. That was pretty hilarious. It reminds me of what the doctor told me after my dad's stroke. He said that many victims don't even acknowledge their paralyzed side. They won't even turn their head over that way. If you sit over there, they won't look at you (which was not true of my dad; he did acknowledge his left side). But anyway, to me Lindsey was like not acknowleding what was going on over on the left side of that photoshoot, which really made me laugh.

That's what surprised me about the final photographs, because we didn't see the whole photoshoot. Stevie somehow ended up buried into Lindsey's shoulder with his arm around her and him smiling and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how they got to that, based on the parts of the photo shoot that we saw.

I have a little FM teddy bear on a shelf, but I don't keep any other FM memorabilia posted in my house except for that one Tusk photo. I love it.

so where is this logic coming from? do all people after certain age have arthritis? after witnessing Lindsey over and over as being in great physical shape why is it so hard to believe that he just might be in great physical shape? i mean, although he definitely seems to have the energy and stamina of people half his age, he wouldn't be the only 62 yo without arthritis and keeping in shape, would he?
he would have been on epilepsy meds in 97.

My only point was, meds can give you a puffy appearance-- whether in the face, or all over.

Meds can be adjusted over time, or you can try new things and maybe they work, maybe they don't.

I was just posting a random musing...triggered by people talking about LB's appearance at different times and based on experiences of several people close to me who take medications for various illnesses, some of which have had this particular side effect.

I understand you, don't worry. There is room for speculation, of course. LB definitely didn't look the same as he does now-and he's been about this thin or thinner for the past, what, 11 years or more? So people have their own theories, and it's fine. I love that we're so perceptive of every minute detail that we can discuss such random, ultimately unimportant, stuff. Or maybe it is important...oh who cares, it's about LB.

Exactly! Ya know, we could be discussing what brand of toilet tissue he uses and I would find it totally riveting!

Girl, you would probably BUY that toilet tissue just for the mutual experience.

But I would NOT judge you.

Maybe that should be one of my questions at the M&G -

"Lindsey, I'm very interested to know which brand of toilet tissue you use - quilted, triple velvet? Would just like to know that you are taking good care of your backside"

Bet nobody's asked him that one before!!!!!!
