You know I'm wondering if some of LB's puffiness at times might be due to medications... we know he was diagnosed with a form of epilepsy at one time and it was controlled by meds... and who knows what else he might be taking for conditions we don't know about --(steroidal meds can puff you up... and often these are the kinds of meds one takes for joint issues.. say a guitar player's hands as just one possibility)--I mean he's no spring chicken and performing is very physically demanding... just a thought.

this doesn't really make any sense to me. he was puffed up in 1997 when he was 48 and in the 80s when he was barely 30. he is NOT puffed up now when he's 62.

so where is this logic coming from? do all people after certain age have arthritis? after witnessing Lindsey over and over as being in great physical shape why is it so hard to believe that he just might be in great physical shape? i mean, although he definitely seems to have the energy and stamina of people half his age, he wouldn't be the only 62 yo without arthritis and keeping in shape, would he?

I don't think arthritis is synonymous with age at all. I mean, I'm 23 and I have it in my thumbs and toes. Granted, I'm a painter which would probably account for the thumbs in some small way. But toes? That's just nature being difficult lol.

Lindsey and Christine look like angry street toughs about to break into song and dance like West Side Story.

And he was puffed up for Lindsey. For a regular man, he looked quite normal. It wasn't a Jerry Lewis/Elvis Presley kind of bloat.

Heck in 1997 he probably weighed more because he and Kristen were lolling around in the hotel ordering too much room service and not doing much else. When his physical activity picked up, the weight fell off.

Of course, I'm sure that the majority of musicians have joint problems. My hand resting on this laptop is sore right now, in fact. Sometimes I rest my hands and wrist on the heat emanating from the bottom of the laptop to soothe them.

But I want you to!

I think Michele could be on to something though...you know, those room service menus are quite extraordinarily high in calories.

Anyway, he probably weighed like 175 or something at the most. It's not like he was really tipping the scale there. Elvis would have probably killed for that body at his struggling points. Poor man.

In the Katy Perry video the older woman is sitting on the bed alone.

I love the eyes on Lindsey and the way his mouth is set in a pout/grimace. I also am quite taken by Christine's pose. It seems odd for her. I wonder if she did it herself of if she was directed.

As for Lindsey, no director could devise for him the things he does organically. I've said before how in the Tusk photo shoot it tickles me that the director is telling them all to do something and he is not saying a WORD to Lindsey. It was like Lindsey's natural look was strange, evocative and dramatic enough. It didn't have to be directed.

Did you ever see the "bloopers" of the plug they did for the MTV anniversary? It was between Rumours and the back end of the Tusk era. I'm not good with eras, but he had short and curly hair. That's all I know lol. Anyway, his mannerisms were quite strange during those bloopers. He was quite jerky, and seemed to bob his head sideways towards his shoulder a lot. To be honest, during that era he could have easily been high during the whole thing lol.
