He looks like he's about to pass out from exhaustion. Anyway, I agree that 1982 was not my fave year for him, but we'll have to agree to disagree on 1997. I KNOW he had that awful moment where he resembled Albert Brooks for a second, but I thought he was so gorgeous on The Dance. Then again, YOU have way more LB creds in terms of all the public appearances he made around that latter year (if any). I don't really have much to go by outside of The Dance and that awful photo. Maybe you saw him live and observed differently. ![]()

But if I'd been online talking about FM back then in 1997, I don't think I would have had many complaints about Lindsey's looks. I was so thrilled to have the 5 of them. I was delirious. I thought he was too puffy, but it is not something that preoccupied me at all. I wouldn't have cared what any of them looked like at the time. I was that happy. Also, I should say that if Lindsey looked like that and stayed that way, it would have been one thing. I would have just accepted that as his middle-aged appearance and it wouldn't have been a big deal. He was no ogre. But he didn't stay that way. Even during the tour I saw him losing weight before my eyes, so it is mostly in retrospect that I say he was bloated in the beginning, because it didn't last. If it had, instead of calling it bloated, it would have been the new "norm," the way men nearing 50 look. Also, I've said this before, but Lindsey was wearing a shirt under his jacket for the whole tour and the shirt never seemed to fit right. It was sideways, like it was buttoned wrong or something. I know this must have been part of his "look," but I could always see it straining out of position under his jacket. It just made him look a tiny bit like a slob. So . . . I was always thinking, "Man, what is your problem?" But I was thinking that with love . Michele |

Aww. I find both of these pictures adorable and I shall be saving them at once. He clearly doesn't care a jot for his appearance in front of the camera, and it's terribly endearing. He looks vulnerable, but most importantly down to earth.
In other pictures, you'd think twice about giving him a hug as you'd think "He probably thinks he's above this". But in these pictures, you just want to go up to him, arms out stretched, and exclaim "Give us a schnuggle!". ![]() Looks aside, the floral backdrop in the first picture makes me want to throw up. He looks like he's gone to my Nonna's house for Tea and Crumpets. |

When I first looked at Go Insane Lindsey vs. Rumours Lindsey vs. The Dance Lindsey I was like..."There is no way this is the same person, right?" Now I know it is, but not being familiar with him, plus not looking hard enough fooled me. ![]()

I first started liking Lindsey in 1984, but I didn't see a pic of him with his beard until Tango was out. All I could think is 'This looks nothing like him'! He looked like a completely different guy!

I don't know what it is about this picture, but he barely looks like himself here. Maybe that's just me who thinks that :s

This picture gives me the giggles.
![]() Fleetwood Mac get stuck on an observation deck, and the first things that happen? Mick comes on to Stevie. Lindsey starts pouting and practicing his male model look. Chris starts swinging from the railings. And, uh, John just stands there.
