Disagree. Yesterday's Gone just doesn't sound like it'd fit with the music as well. Yesterday's Gone would fit better with wistful or nostalgic songs more than what ended up on Rumours.

New statement: Lindsey should have kept his Gift of Screws songs and released them as a solo album instead of SYW.

Disagree. GOS is already good enough as a solo album. And Fleetwood Mac is always a way for Lindsey to promote his songs, because, face it, Fleetwood Mac sales a lot more than Lindsey, Stevie or Christine solo. Well, that's how I think. Also, I always thought that Fleetwood Mac were better together (even if, without Christine, it's not the same thing anymore).

New statement : Lindsey was not the only driving force behind Fleetwood Mac. As much as I love him, take a song like Rhiannon : listen to the Buckingham/Nicks version, and then, listen to the White Album version, and tell me how you feel about it. The McVie's and Mick were definitely there too.

Agree. Lindsey did have a huge part, but if it wasn't for Mick, John, Stevie, and Christine too, they wouldn't be the wonderful supergroup we know and love today.

New statement: Mick is a way better drummer than Phil Collins

Disagree....he's neither way better or better. He's a no doubt a good drummer and fits perfectly with his band's music. Phil Collins is more technically proficient. Phil also has one of those most identifiable sounds and styles. He also contributes singing and songwriting.

I don't have a good new statement to make...someone else can take over.

I never cared for Phil as a drummer, but I do like the songs from Tarzan (hey, I was 9 when it came out).

New statement: If a second Buckingham Nicks album had been made, it probably would have been a much bigger hit than it's predecessor.

Sorry to go off topic here.....I don't know if you've heard much of Phil's stuff or if you've just heard the radio hits being as young as you are and not being a fan of his....He's still a great drummer, but he didn't tend to show off much in his solo career which is more pop based. Oddly enough I am a big fan and I only first heard the Tarzan songs within the past several months (apart from the big hit). I had never seen the movie until then, but I really like the tunes. I digress....In Genesis, which was initially a progressive rock band and later included more of a pop sound, there's plenty of great drumming. They had lots extended instrumental passages and what not. He was also in a band called Brand X where he shows off his chops a lot too. Just FYI.

Possibly, but they might have been encouraged to pursue a country-rock, early-period Eagles-influenced sound more fully than they did with Mac. The Fleetwood-McVie-McVie commitment to the blues and Christine's unusual voice complicated the mix of the band's combined talents in unexpected ways.

New statement: "Never Forget" is a great little tune that deserved a more imaginative arrangement, especially in terms of the guitar solo, which is uncharacteristically dull.

Disagree - I love it as it is.
On their next tour, FM should play a few songs from TITN.
