What else is there to go on? It's still belief in something just because someone else says it's so... without any proof.

Anyway.

Why is that funny? Because it happened? Because it further proves that people can, have and continue to use the Bible as a weapon against certain people?

It is a shame that people would use the book for such purposes. I was always taught that Bible is a guide, a tool - and not a weapon.
Well I didnt mean LITERALLY funny...just funny that, looking back, that someone could even believe the discrimination against blacks, or women was "right" by using the Bible as motivator. It says plainly the Lord is the Lord of all men, regardless of colour and creed, or nation, etc. I would say those passages would make it crystal clear that those preaching such a message are not of God, and to use the Bible as such a weapon for their own gain, or purpose would weed them out as the wolves.

Aww dont say that! That makes me feel for you. It truly does. I have my own guilt I've to deal with...it was real bad in the past. Including my bitterness towards church, and faith, and God and what have you.

Usually they are, but it's better always to take a good margin.

In this period, not very well, but it's impossible to generalize. You'll find a lot of nice people there. Politeness and respect for other people's traditions would be good cards to avoid bad moments.

It's a very touristy place, the Black Madonna in Czestochowa is one of the usual stops for catholic religious tours. I'd try to go quite early in the morning to avoid very long lines.

Just be cautious as you'd be in any other Foreign Country you don't know, even if I'd advise not to explore too much during the evening. Be also careful to people who offer you fantastic affairs for your shopping.

wow... Krakow and Kyiv, that's an...mmm...interesting choice... or shall i say quite a strange one. these are two of the gloomiest cities i've ever been to. in fact, i'm passing thru Kyiv again next week, and although i've more than a few hours to burn there, i don't think i'll leave the airport coz it doesn't worth the price of their tourists' visa.
Krakow is nothing to write home about either. other than this crumbling old palace, i can't remember anything from being there.
