I broke down and spent $380 bucks for a pair of tickets. I won a 24-hour eBay auction that only had five people bidding with a total of 7 bids.

I hate buying from "ticket brokers."

Why? The regular onsale is tomorrow. You should have waited to see if you could get them through TM.

I will try tomorrow. My friend now wants to come.Thats great.he used to work in Manhatten a long time ago.Tom is also a fan of Stevie and FM Him and his fiancee goes to all the Connecticut shows with me .I wish I've known this wednesday.we've would of been in.Yea comment earlier about brokers.I never dealt with them.but I dealt with scalpers at some shows.3 times first in 1990 FM's BTM tour for the second night at the Mansfield show.second was Tom Petty's show with Stevie in 2006 also in Mansfield.Third time a upgrade for 3 row tick's at the CV tour in 2007 also in Mansfield MA.All for face value.

Webster Hall's capacity is 2,500, so the fan presale and today's FM radio pre-sale as well as tickets provided to industry/press/etc. are going to take a huge chunk out of what's available. What's left will sell-out in minutes.

just being curious, what are the chances of Stevie singing leather and lace with dave?

Hopefully slim to none, imo.

I truly think this is a song she prefers to sing with Don. And besides, from what I've heard anyway, Dave has a very deep voice. It wouldn't fit the song at all considering that the male/female verses are exactly the same, and the harmony in the chorus is very close regardless of which person takes the higher part.

i'm just trying to figure out what she'll play. how many songs and such. i don't think she'll do 20 and i figure she won't flood the show with new stuff. with dave being there i guess she'll do the stuff from in your dreams that features his vocals (cheaper than free and everybody loves you).

So I am kind of freaking out. If Dani's dad bails, then there goes my roomie for a hotel for Webster. If Caitlin can't get tickets, then there goes my partner for hotel and the Today Show.

If this completely falls through, is there anyone still looking for someone to share a hotel with? Anyone wanna offer their home to a poor college kid?

I'm serious.

My bad... TM must have changed sales time just as they changed 'will-call' provision

tix now go on sale 12;00 noon, so start refreshing 11:50 and GOOD LUCK

I also just checked STUB HUB and they have about 30 tickets for sale at prices ranging from
$ 140 to $ 180 per tix, which IMO is not terribly bad , compared with what i have seen asked and paid for on other broker sites

If it were me and i had no luck w TM this noon time I would IMMEDIATELY gobble up what
I needed at STUB HUB , cause as we all know there are only 1500 tickets out there

I keep forgetting that Webster's total capacity is 2,500, but only 1,500 for concerts. I've only been there for parties that have utilized the entire space.

FYI: StubHub adds a surcharge of 10% of the entire purchase to the total, plus a $5 charge to download tickets or $12 for 2-day shipping.

As a began typing this there were 15 tickets in the $165 range available. A few minutes later, 5. In a matter of minutes, those were bought so I edited my post. There are about 100 tickets are in $180 - $240 range. There are many in the $300 - $600 range and someone is trying to get $1,200 a ticket; another seller, $1,500.

eBay still has a few reasonable Buy It Now listings.

I just got mine just in {Nicks} of time LOL.The bill had about $30,00 surcharges.plus
$12.95 fedex charges.now lets see if i get them.Hahaha.I,ve never dealt with Stubhub before.
$179.00 now on Stubhub. probably that $1500 ticket will be the last ticket to go.Wow.he or she got high hopes.

StubHub is owned by eBay. The one benefit of StubHub is that it guarantees every purchase. LiveNation/Ticketmaster provides links to StubHub when they sell out (which is very suspicious and has many convinced LiveNation holds tickets to scalp at inflated prices to create demand).

Still, it's funny that general admission tickets are priced from 180 to 1,500, but it's the seller that sets the price.

Tickets for Adele's House of Blues/Boston show were $27 general admission tickets (and two dozen 3rd floor box seats for $45), but they're going for $350 to $2,000 on StubHub, eBay, etc. And they're selling.

I'm guessing that by next week, Webster Hall tickets will be at least $400 a ticket in the secondary market.

I was turned off by the fees associated with stubhub and I don't like the scalper aspect of it. No matter which way you look at it, those were not people who bought tickets and then realized they could not go and then sold them. they are scalpers who bought in order to do what they are doing....make money.

So sad that this turned out this way. We really were psyched about seeing Stevie in such an intimate venue. If anyone has an extra ticket to sell at face please pm me. I would take one but would love two so I can take a friend with me.

Thank you and congrats to all who got tickets.

Okay. So let's plan the after party. I have some general ideas in mind. Tapas, sangria, some place where under 21's can get in. I know some places in the village that fit the bill, but if anyone is more familiar with the exact area around the venue, please chime in. I'm taping into mezzoforte's (Grace's) expertise as well for this.

We very definitely need to plan something, especially since Marissa won't be around for dinner on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, I'm pretty useless at finding places. Anyone more familiar with the neighborhood have suggestions?

I've never heard of Japas but it sounds like a kick. I'd definitely be down for some karaoke.
Or if you want Sangria, I think San Loco Mexico is pretty close..
Anyone else have ideas?

good question!!!!!!

The ticket says nothing about cameras or recording devices. So as far as I'm concerned, Stevie better be ready for her closeups. :)

In this day and age, everyone with the latest smart phone has an HD video camera. It is just impossible to prevent people from bringing these things into shows. And in a general admission setting, without seats and aisles, even if they did spot people taking pictures/video, how are they going to get to them without mowing down half the audience? I think Stevie should just embrace the videos, because they give her free, potentially virulent promotion on YouTube, and it also gives her an added incentive to step up her game. In this day and age, everything uploaded onto the internet becomes part of the permanent archive of the ether.

Hello everybody.

I've been a reader of this board for a while and I really like you all a lot.
As a massive Fleetwood Mac and Stevie fan, I just felt compelled to vent to somebody (anybody!) who would understand.

It was my 24th birthday last week and one of my friends generously, lovingly said she would buy us tickets to see Stevie at Webster Hall as my present.

At 12 noon when they went on sale, that very SECOND, as you know, there were no tickets. I was so disheartened. I've never seen Stevie or the Mac before and you can't imagine how much I was looking forward to this amazing concert.

I'm not sure if we were duped by ticketmaster or what (did they even have anymore tickets to sell?), but it's sad when such a massive fan like myself, who has never seen her, who could not afford the cost of the ticket ordinarily, somehow was charmed enough to have the show right by his birthday and have such a great friend-- and I can't go? I mean I can't buy tickets?

It's upsetting as hell. I really hope they'll have a few more left or something and I can figure out some way to get inside. Otherwise I'll be pacing New York City while Stevie sings.

UGGGHHHHH
Thanks for reading.
It's a pleasure to be here with all of you.

Sorry to hear you couldn't get any tickets, nikniknik. I've yet to see FM or any member solo, live, either, so I know how excited you must've been at the prospect. Hope it somehow works out for you, but if not, atleast there is Stevie's (and possibly Lindsey's) upcoming solo tour to look forward too. I'm going to try to go to both if they come near enough to my town.

So, I'm kinda obsessed with Cher too and went to see her Vegas show all the time. My bff has a Flip video cam that he used and it always took really great HD video and audio. I can give you specific links on youtube if you want to see how good it is.

huh? was it an instant sell out or something

Apparently there were no tickets left when they went on sale to the general public at 12 noon. The code thing blocked out a lot of us, especially those of us who have (GASP!) aol, even thoug WB told us we would get the code and be able to buy. The radio presale blocked out most of us, and then ticketmaster, who could have said the show was sold out, didn't do that, but led us to believe we still had a chance at tickets.

I am disheartened that WB and the promotor would allow such an intimate show to end up being what seems to be primarily a scalpers show. What was the point of the fans presale if they limited tickets then?

I'm still looking for a way to get one ticket too. Hopefully something will come up.

I am disheartened that WB and the promotor would allow such an intimate show to end up being what seems to be primarily a scalpers show. What was the point of the fans presale if they limited tickets then?

I'm still looking for a way to get one ticket too. Hopefully something will come up.

The whole ticket selling business is so corrupt it sucks. Have you written WB regarding the AOL block? That was bullsh*t. I think everyone that happened to should write WB and tell them how displeased you are.

So, I'm kinda obsessed with Cher too and went to see her Vegas show all the time. My bff has a Flip video cam that he used and it always took really great HD video and audio. I can give you specific links on youtube if you want to see how good it is.

I guess your friend had no trouble with security stopping him then? I have a flip camera too that I was planning on sneaking into Stevies Vegas show but I couldn't remember how strict the colluseum was with cameras.

Well, here's the thing...the group I always went with to see show went all the time. After awhile we figured out which security guards would let us get away with it. In the first two years of her show we did sneak our cameras in through various methods. During the last year, security loosened up a little bit and stopped making people check their cameras. So we no longer had to sneak them in. But, they were still nazis about taking pics during the show. You just had to be quick and don't use a flash. The great thing about the flip cam is where we would sometimes sit, you could put it in the cup holder and angle it towards the stage and get some great videos depending on where she was on the stage. If nothing else we always got great audio. Here's an example http://youtu.be/LI4j8VGG7LE Not sure why the quality isn't hd.

See- this is why I love The Ledge- one learns the most off-the-wall yet useful things here, like using a cupholder to hold your flip camera!
heck, I'm in the 3rd row and my flip comes with a little tripod thingy...maybe I'll just put it on the stage behind Stevies fan - she'll never see it.

During the encore at the last show another friend had a mini video camera, he put it on stage next to a prompter angled toward the other end of stage (we were in sec 6 next to the stage where it curved out) and no one knew. We were standing against the stage at that point so there was nothing security could do to get to it. I loved it.

I remember at Stevie 's CV tour at the Borgata .The two nighter stay.on fridays show the security did not give a bloody dam about the cameras.I got great photos and videos that night and filled up a flashcard.on saturday nights show the security was in full force and told me and the rest of us"Please puts the cameras away".I can't blame Stevie on this about the flashbulbs were bothering her eyes.if that was the case.Again with a million flash tubes going off from every direction probably was the cause. The wording should say "No flash photography allowed" on the tickets.
At some other shows on the same tour I did see some people did lose their cameras . also at most cases the flash wont reach the stage. If the camera has a switch to kill the flash .turn tit off. which most of these digital cameras do.If the camera does not have a flash shutoff switch.just put electrical tape over the flashbulb section. I've done it before and the photos came out great.

If this completely falls through, is there anyone still looking for someone to share a hotel with? Anyone wanna offer their home to a poor college kid?

I'm serious.

EDIT:

EVERY PLACE I USED TO KNOW IS CLOSED. Let's ask Stevie where the hell she's going after the show! ;);) I mean come on..there's only 1500 of us....

AOL didn't block the email. It wasn't sent to AOL users at all, even though AOL users DID receive the reply that they would get the code. So some of us who COULD have used another non-aol email address if we knew this was going to happen did not have the chance to do it.

Funny, if they think aol users are the scalpers, check out stubhub and the other tickets brokers and see just how much scalping they avoided by blocking aol users. I'm appalled. There seem to be more tickets for resale than are in the hands of true fans. And I won't pay a broker for a ticket...just my policy.

Regarding the camera paranoia-if you put a cheap disposable camera in your bag where security can see it, they'll usually take it and cease looking through the rest of your bag; just remember to hide your "real" camera at the bottom of your bag.

Stevie Inc. could have avoided the whole scalper issue by making all tickets will call. I was more than happy to pay the extra money to print out my tickets and avoid waiting in a will call line.

As for people that are still looking for tickets, I would plant my rear end in front of the computer on May 4th and pound Ticketbastard all day looking for a drop.

I agree. When I thought that they were going to have all will call i was thrilled. When they changed the plan, they opened the door to scalpers. I'm mad because they knew exactly that that was what they were doing. I've been checking ticketmaster every day and nothing yet. Still looking for a single ticket if anyone has one!

But then my mom gave me a glimpse of hope. Her friend's husband owns Webster Hall. She asked her friends to talk to her husband about it. But they never got back to us on it. So i'm pretty sure I can't go. But I bought my tickets for May 6th, so it's not that far away.

And no one would take me to NYC @ 5:30 AM to see Stevie on the Today Show. Everyone is too lazy.

Great idea. 1 more thing for those of you who have video capability on your digital cameras - there's usually a red light that comes on when you start to record, which is obviously not a good thing when you're trying to do this in secret. Cover it with a piece of black electrical tape. :)

Yes my Nikon lacks sound quility big time .on the video mode.due to low bitrate.I use a 4gb card in the camera.the size seems enough for what I take in high res photos..maxed out my card a couple of times. And I also carry a backup too.Oh Cameras not allowed. In most cases probably not like most shows.Just make sure it desappears before going in.

Ahem. If you'll recall, the B&tB from night 2 in Vegas 5/05 was taken with my crappy Kodak. Better some footage, even if it's not pristine, than none at all, I say.

My camera had great video and audio at MSG last month. Wish I had taken more than a snippet of Young Turks.
I will have it with me Wednesday! :)

:blob1:

I hope she opens with "In Your Dreams" and continues with the rest of the cd! :woohoo:

That? Would be awesome.

NO , Yea your right. It will be like "Screening Olnly" on the bottom of the screen.Or somebody taps into the CCTV line with a vcr .

I was just on StubHub. for the hell of it.They got about 15 tickets left ranging from $195 to a whopping$5.000 dollars each .For $ 10.000 grand the seller has high hopes.for $10 grand I probably could travel the country to see Stevie's summer tour.

I told Dave that they should just perform the album in its entirety. He said he would but the band wouldn't have enough time to rehearse. The excitement of hearing the whole album probably would have killed me anyway. It's for the best.

The only possibility I see of this being shared is through Dave's film about Stevie and this project. It's the first show where they're playing these songs live. If he takes the route that Destiny Rules did, bits of this show could end the doc.

I wish I was going even though I live in CT near the NYC couldn't do it and have to work too. Will catch her when she comes to CT this summer I hope we get a summer/fall tour. Enjoy the show. What to wear Chiffon,Platform Suede Boots,Shawl and a black top hat and those Stevie fingerless leather gloves with the metal fringe love those gloves I want a pair of those I think we all should get them and wear them to the show. I want to get a shawl or cloak to wear to her next show and platform boots.

I'm thinking 4 at the latest. But, I'm sure others will be there much earlier. I'm only 22 (will turn 23 on the day of the show), but I act like I'm 100. Standing is not my fav thing. Especially if it's gonna rain.

I know, especially when there are so many other things to do in the city standing in the line all day is not one of them. I assume we can take turns getting ready and going back to the hotel if someone holds our place? People were ok with that in Biloxi and it was fairly close to show time.

My hotel is like 2.5 miles away and not easy to get to from Webster, so I'm not sure where I'll go to change or where I'll store my stuff. But I will be changing at some point, so people better be okay with place holding in line! haha

I actually made a trip to webster hall today to scope out the area .. webster hall entrance is on a main street w wide sidewalk so room for a line ... the guys there who work webster hall knew stevie was coming and that it was sold out and said ' no problem.. show up 7:00PM"

the place only holds 1500 peeps and several hundred are upstairs in the VIP area reserved for who knows who

the area in general is OK but no great shakes.. if i were gonna spend a lot of time there i would bring a disposable folding chair ( i'm 62 yo so maybe that enters into the picture)

no real restaurants of any sort nearby, so if u plan to come early be prepared

As far as place holding. I don't think it would be a problem if two or three people are in line together and take turns getting something to eat/drink, etc. What I would foresee being a problem would be if one person got in line really early and then a whole group of people, who were not in line all, day show and try to get in line with that one person who was there super early. I know I'd be upset if I waited in line for hours and then a group of people who hadn't been around all day showed up and tried to get in line in front of me.

That being said, I would imagine getting in line around 5:00 would be sufficient.

I was planning on getting to the venue around 9AM but after reading these posts, I'm thinking I'm going to get there around noon. Still a little obsessive, I know, but I'm not flying across the country to be anywhere but at Stevie's feet. Seriously, I want he best spot in the house.

That being said.... if anyone other than Amber (my roommate for the trip) tries to cut with me after those long hours of waiting, they will be shut down :D. Just a warning.

Front row is the worst spot for a venue like this. The acoustics will be awful. You won't be able to hear her correctly, and all the pushing and shoving you will be getting. For GA, I usually go to the balcony. The sound is better, the people are nicer, and you actually get to enjoy the show and not be in the mess of the mob.

With that said, I want to be up front, too.

I cannot believe this show is only a couple of days away! Sooo excited:]! I'm still trying to decide what time my friend and I should leave CT for NYC. I was thinking about getting into the city for 11 a.m. and then we would scope out the webster to see what the line looks like...

But then the other part of me is saying we should just take the earliest train out of New Haven to NYC and get in as early as possible....but I'm thinking people aren't really going to be lining up that early...but I don't want to regret not getting into the city earlier when I could have..

Gahhh!!! What time is everyone else thinking about getting there? I'm definitely up for another psychotically long (and surprisingly very fun) wait for Stevie like I did for the Barnes & Noble signing (13 hours of waiting!!! :) ) ...but don't know if it's really necessary to be up front for this?
